I tend to somewhat agree , but to be fair, if they can forgo their amateur status to play professionally they’re not really kids anymore are now are they?

I understand what you’re saying, but, we have young kids who are professional athletes that are not considered adults. Under the logic you’re using you would have to call kids—for example who are fourteen or fifteen—adults just as well; and that is something I don’t think anyone can claim simply because they play a sport professionally.

More or less, it’s their respective job. We have kids even younger who legally work at a job(s) appropriate for their age, but are still considered kids. I don’t think a professional athlete—regardless of age—should be used as a stipulation or a measure to claim someone is not a kid anymore.

However, I can agree that there comes a certain age where you could say someone is no longer a kid. What is that specifically? I think most would argue it would be eighteen or twenty-one; but, that’s more of a subjective argument for people just based on personal opinion.

so, should we all bow down and worship your perceived intelligence? When someone has to toot their own horn, they lose the debate. You accuse me of something, but have yet to show any facts, since you keep spouting off about facts, where is your facts? Welcome to my ignore button, you can go there with the other buffoons, I had to ignore.

No one accused you of anything. As I have reiterated a number of times to you—you responded to my initial post and chose to defend people who crucify and criticize players for making their own personal decisions; I have continued to state that it is irrelevant to those individuals and that you can not objectively defend them over something that merits no weight or bearing on anyone’s life in the public outside of said basketball player(s).

I have not made a single claim that I am better than anyone on here, nor have I claimed that my intelligence is superior to anyone else; I have simply—which I have done numerous times—argued that objectively no one can say what a player does for themself personally is right or wrong. It’s irrelevant to anyone but the player making that decision.

It is apparent this is something we will never find similar ground or a mutual understanding for—which is certainly unfortunate. If anyone is personally upset or angry about college basketball players—especially at a place such as Kentucky—making personal decisions that are in their best interest, then unfortunately this is not a program or sport that they should follow.

This has been a regular occurrence for just over a decade now; and it is not going away. This is the new ‘normal’ that will persist well into the future.

Also, if you don’t want me responding to your baseless argument(s) and weak subjective opinions, or if it just upsets you ... then why do you continue to directly respond to me? Again—like I have said a number of times to you—you were one who initially attacked me and continued to do so. Just stop.
