Good list. I mean we obviously just disagree on the nothing to do part in kc. You obviously had a bad experience which is fine, it happens. I would definitely agree with you that most of those cities have more going on. Personally Love Nashville and Denver. Milwaukee is usually considered one of the worst places to live in America so i would definitely put kc ahead of them.
Milwaukee has Lake Michigan Way more to do there

Kc is just a generic city. No natural landscape mountains lakes etc to see. Flat humid boring and kc people try to pretend it’s so special. Sorry it’s not.

Dude, really?
Have you ever been to Portland or Seattle?
Don’t think there’s a human on this planet that would disagree sorry

Agree that if you are into nature, it is not the place to come!

I'm from Hopkins County Kentucky but have lived in Kansas City for the last 30 years. The last ten years or so, Kansas City has made great strides and is becoming a great place to live.

As for food options, my top BBQ places are Q39 and Jack Stack(freight house location). It would be wise to make reservations. If you just want a quick stop at a BBQ joint, I recommend Gates BBQ at 12th and Brooklyn.

There is a couple of really good Italian places. Garrozzo's on Harrison and Lidia's in the Freight House district are my go to" places.

Tapas - LaBodega on Southwest Boulevard

French - Le Fou Frog in the City Market area

Breakfast - Happy Gillis in Columbus Park

Something different - The Antler Room at 25th and Holmes and Brewery Emperial at 19th and Oak (3-4 blocks south of Sprint Center)
