The big dual of the weekend saw two upsets itself, in the first two weights of the match with Roman Bravo-Young starting things out at 133 and defeating #7 Luke Pletcher in TB-2.

At the very next weight, #4 Nick Lee beat #2 Joey McKenna 7-6, which is the exact same score from their meeting last season.

The major upset over the weekend, though in my opinion, was Daniel Lewis pinning returning National Champion Zahid Valencia.

Why do the Ivy league schools seem to be pretty solid in wrestling? It seems like Princeton is always pretty good.

Kids that are high-achieving academically, especially at schools like those in the Ivy League, tend to be very intrinsically motivated. They don't need coaches that are on them all the time to do things because the expectations they put on themselves are already high enough. That trait translates very well to wrestling

Probably not the place for this....... but too many wrestling threads would make some die hards upset:

How dominate is PSU at the moment?

Penn State over the last 5 years is similar to Nebraska Football in the mid 90's!

PSU could wrestle the rest of college wrestling in a PSU vs. All Stars dual match up and it would be a close dual, probably PSU favored to win it by a point, if both of the 1vs2 tossup matches below split!

125 PSU vs Rivera Northwestern 0-4
133 PSU vs Micic Michigan 0-7
141 PSU #2 vs #1 Yanni Cornell 3-7 **toss-up
149 PSU vs Ashnault Rutgers 3-10
157 PSU vs Berger Nebraska 7-10
165 PSU vs Marinelli Iowa 10-10
174 PSU vs Lewis Missouri 13-10
184 PSU #2 vs #1 Martin OhioSt 13-13 **
197 PSU vs Moore OhioSt 19-13
285 PSU vs Stevenson Minn 19-18
