Class A: Omaha North (1-1) at Omaha Central (2-0)
- Feels like the biggest one in Class A this week - a couple others that could be good games; however, I'm thinking this one is the most exciting. Feels like it could turn into a bit of a shootout after both teams feel each other out early on. Would be a big win for Central and an important one for North.
Omaha North: 38 - Omaha Central: 28

Class B: Waverly (2-0) at McCook (2-0)
- The usual "who's who" in class b is still around... But perhaps there are a couple of other programs that are looking to strike while the iron is hot. Waverly, in my opinion, is starting to look like a team that's ready to cash it in for a trip to Memorial later this Fall. McCook, in true McCook fashion, has settled into the start of the 2025 season nicely and looks to win a big one. Is the bus ride west too much? Home field advantage?
Waverly: 21 - McCook: 18

Class C1: Columbus Scotus (1-1) at Ashland-Greenwood (1-1)
- Both of these teams looking to bounce back and bounce back quickly after losses in week 2. Both have the talent to win the game. Ashland-Greenwood ain't going anywhere after what happened last week. Wahoo is just that good.
Ashland Greenwood: 28 - Columbus Scotus: 14

Class C2: Hartington Cedar Catholic (2-0) at Fremont Bergan (2-0)

- Game of the year 2.0 in C2? Perhaps.. I think this will be closer than what some folks may expect. In the end. Cedar perhaps is just too much.
Hartington Cedar Catholic: 35 - Fremont Bergan: 21

Class D1: Nebraska City Lourdes (2-0) at Thayer Central (2-0)
- The winner of this game most likely has a deep playoff run in front of them.. The loser? Probably the same thing. One of those games that will have heavy seeding implications down the road.
Thayer Central: 40 - Nebraska City Lourdes: 30

Class D2: Wynot (2-0) at Archangels Catholic (2-0)

- Can't seem to not pick a game to watch without Wynot being involved. This week is no different. Same as above in D1.. This game isn't about who's going to make a playoff run, they both will, in my opinion. Chasing seeding in this high scoring affair.
Archangels Catholic: 44 - Wynot: 40

Class D1 also has Plainview vs Crofton, both ranked similarly to Nebraska City Lourdes and Thayer Central. Should be some good games that will give us a clearer picture of the class.

6-Man's biggest game looks to be Stuart vs Silver Lake - though I'd be surprised if this game was close after the way Stuart handled SEM.

Class A - blah, blah, blah....not a fun season to watch as we all know who the champ is already.

Class B - there is a game of the week every week as there are quite a few teams that can compete for the title, should be a fun class to watch. Seward/Pius game will be one I'm watching. I think Seward wins and gets them in the win column.

Class C-1 - I would agree that AG/Scotus is the game to pay attention to this week....in the end AG will be too much.

Class C-2 - HCC/Bergan will be a good game - I see it being low scoring with good defense but HCC finds a way in the end to come out on top. What in the world did Boone do the NSAA??? Out of district games - HCC, Norfolk Catholic, and Battle Creek....just brutal and shouldn't happen!

Class D-1 - Plainview/Crofton game will be a dandy with Crofton coming out on top.

Class D-2 - Archangels/Wynot will start out to be a good game but I think Archangels wears down Wynot and pulls away late.

Speaking of Class A, they are having a heck of a time trying to come up with a scheduling model for the next cycle. The bottom teams don't want to play the top teams and the top teams don't want to just play each other.

The latest idea is to get rid of districts in Class A altogether and just take the top 16 in the point standings to the playoffs. The scheduling model would average the final point standings of the previous two seasons and no games would be scheduled between the top 12 teams and the bottom 12 teams.

That will probably help some but until they decide to change the transfer rules in Omaha - I don't see much changing.
