Looking at the weather Thursday is best. It's gonna rain all day Friday. Murphy will be moving also.
Don't know why they wouldn't leave it on Friday at least how it looks right now 90% Thursday night 24% Friday.
Sounds like Thomasville-Swain is locked into Thursday. Saturday not an option due to some transportation issues for Swain County.
Doubleheader at Rosewood on Thursday. Soccer 4th round at 4:30. Football 2nd round at 8:00.
I just heard the East / Murphy game has been moved to Thursday night at 6:30. Have you heard anything on your end?
Just curious why Thursday seems to be the only option instead of Saturday which everywhere supposed to be a nice day plus give these teams with sick boys another day or a couple days for the Thursday games a chance to recover.
According to Asheville Citizen every west 1A game except for Mitchell - Draughn has been moved to Thursday.
Exactly my thoughts too. Im not sure if it would help gate any from EW perspective, but if i was coming to it, a saturday day trip sounds better than pulling a late night back home on a thursday. And the weather looks so nice for saturday.
If it's upgraded to hurricane some school systems want let teams travel. Saturday would be better IMO.
Sunday afternoon would be even better. Gives the field a little chance to dry out. Could have a short sermon at the 50 yard line before kickoff and a long prayer after game. What do you think?
That game should be moved to Thursday but I understand why it wasn’t. I’m hearing Friday or Monday for the game. Ready to get it over with
No way Coach Pittman agrees to moving it to Thursday. It’s a very good move on his part and I’m sure if the shoe was on the other foot the Draughn coach would do the same. Besides it looks like it’s gonna be nasty either day. Monday sounds great to me
I’m also very perplexed why Saturday is not the go to day for football this week. Perfect weather. Monday would be last resort IMO
From the NCHSAA handbook ...while I don't see anything about a postponement game during the playoffs this in reference to the last games of the regular season before the brackets come out but my guess is that this is probably a guideline they go by this during the playoffs as well because the updated brackets have to be announced.

It's getting close enough now where you can see the hour by hour forecast. In the Mitchell -Draughn game Thursday 7pm 97% chance Friday right now just goes to 5pm 70% chance.
I don't know if it will happen but I've been told that Mitchell and Draughn is working on moving the game to Saturday.
