Class D1:
Bridgeport @ Dundy County Stratton
- Both teams coming off comparable wins from week 1. Bridgeport seems to have a little buzz around them this year and a convincing win over NPSP helps solidify that. Dundy County has athletes and they're no stranger to big games. I think this will be a bit high scoring; however, close. Dundy County pulls away with a couple scores late.
Dundy County 40 - Bridgeport 28

Sandy Creek @ Shelby Rising City
- All eyes on this game this week, for good reason. Sandy Creek appears to be picking up right where they left off, the top program in the state in D1. Shelby Rising City has the advantage of hosting. There will be a lot of talent across the board for both squads. I think this will be an exciting match up. However, Sandy Creek is on a different level right now than everyone else.
Sandy Creek 40 - Shelby Rising City 22

Class D2:

Elmwood Murdock @ Lourdes
- Elmwood Murdock puts on a 2nd half clinic in their comeback win against BDS. Their ability to adjust at half and keep BDS scoreless speaks to their staff and their players ability to go toe-to-toe with the top of the class. Lourdes, appears to be clicking offensively putting up 56 in their 1st game out of the gates. I think this game will be defensive oriented with few scoring opportunities. Elmwood ultimately continues to play good defense and finds a way to win.
Elmwood Murdock 24 - Lourdes 20

Wynot @ Creighton
- Added this game because it will be interesting to see how Wynot plays following a 4OT game putting up nearly 80 points against a good, physical, Crofton team. Are they rested? Do they respond with the same ability to put points on the board? This could be an exciting one as Creighton is beginning to reinstate themselves into the talk of 8-man football.
Wynot 48 - Creighton 24

While I do feel like Bridgeport is a solid team this year, the game with NPSP was tied late. Bport scored a touchdown with :30 left, made the two point conversion. Kicked off, and on the Irish first play of their last possession it was a scoop and score to make it 44-28, a final.

You can watch the last play here. 3:04:45 on the time stamp.

I don’t think they’ll get by Dundy, especially on the road. If they do, I’ll be very impressed.
