Class A:
Millard South vs Millard West
- Obviously, Millard South is poised to win every game, every week; however, Millard West will be doing everything in their power to stop, better yet, slow down, the Millard South train that is already rolling. I think West will bring everything they have and make this competitive through 3 quarters.. In the end, too much firepower on the other side. South will pull away late.
Millard South 42 - Millard West 17
Class B:
Norris @ Gretna
- A classic Class B match up.. Norris coming off the complete dismantling of powerhouse Skutt.. Gretna with a solid week 1 win. I think this will be closer than most think. Norris had the advantage week 1 of a new HC and possibly some scheme stuff that Skutt didn't foresee. However, they're still ultra talented. Gretna will be locked in.
Norris 35 - Gretna 24
Class C1:
Wahoo @ Ashland Greenwood
- Game of the week, all class, in my opinion. This will be a physical, defensive driven ball game. Who makes the most mistakes? Loses the ball? Might just be the difference in this game. Two well coached teams full of athletes and experience in big games. I expect this to be a low scoring affair. Ultimately, Wahoo squeezes out a victory.
Wahoo 17 - Ashland Greenwood 14
Class C2:
Norfolk Catholic @ Boone Central
- Wouldn't have been the original pick for me in this week's games; however, the Norfolk Catholic loss week 1 14-21 to Neumann perhaps shook things up a bit. The Knights saw the end to their 39 game win streak. Boone Central perhaps can find a weakness or two in preparation this week. On the flip side, I'm guessing Bellar and company will have a little extra focus to the details in practice this week. Catholic won't lose two in a row..
Norfolk Catholic 35 - Boone Central 14
