Not necessarily, if km can beat crest next week and sc beats fv and huss over ashbrook it is a 3 way tie for second. All 3 have beat each other then it would go to who had the biggest win in the conference with would be who beat ashbrook, all 3. Not sure where it goes from there maybe draw straws. For huss to be forth they either need to lose next week or crest beat km
You're right, Babyhewey. I wasn't thinking about the KM/Crest game. Between that, being late, and travelling all day, I was brain dead at that point. A 3-way tie resulting from SC/HH wins and Crest loss is the worst case and most likely scenario and would be a nightmare to unscramble. If they used current MaxPreps rankings, then they would place as follows: Crest, Hunter Huss, Stuart Cramer; however, SC may bump up based on their win over Huss.. If tie break is done by coin toss or drawing of numbers/straws, who freaking knows.
Other scenarios:
SC win; Crest and Huss lose:
Crest and SC tied at 5-2 but Crest gets 2nd by virtue of H2H win over SC (3rd)
Ashbrook & Huss tied at 4-3 with the Green Wave finishing 4th by virtue of H2H win over Huss (5th)
Huss win; Crest and SC lose:
Crest and Huss tied at 5-2; Huss finishes 2nd by virtue of H2H over Crest (3rd)
SC (4-3) ends up 4th
Ashbrook and Forestview (3-4) - Ashbrook takes 5th based on H2H win over FV
Crest, SC, Huss all lose:
Crest (5-2) takes 2nd by themselves; SC, Ashbrook, and Huss finish in a 3-way tie at 4-3
3rd - Stuart Cramer (H2H wins over Ashbrook and Huss)
4th - Ashbrook (H2H over Huss)
5th - Hunter Huss
It looks like the Big South is in store for a wild finish with lots of games having conference standing and playoff implications.
