Stuart Cramer and Hunter Huss are going into OT tied at 14. Per Richard Walker, this is the 4th OT game Huss has played this season.

Not necessarily, if km can beat crest next week and sc beats fv and huss over ashbrook it is a 3 way tie for second. All 3 have beat each other then it would go to who had the biggest win in the conference with would be who beat ashbrook, all 3. Not sure where it goes from there maybe draw straws. For huss to be forth they either need to lose next week or crest beat km

You're right, Babyhewey. I wasn't thinking about the KM/Crest game. Between that, being late, and travelling all day, I was brain dead at that point. A 3-way tie resulting from SC/HH wins and Crest loss is the worst case and most likely scenario and would be a nightmare to unscramble. If they used current MaxPreps rankings, then they would place as follows: Crest, Hunter Huss, Stuart Cramer; however, SC may bump up based on their win over Huss.. If tie break is done by coin toss or drawing of numbers/straws, who freaking knows.

Other scenarios:
SC win; Crest and Huss lose:

Crest and SC tied at 5-2 but Crest gets 2nd by virtue of H2H win over SC (3rd)
Ashbrook & Huss tied at 4-3 with the Green Wave finishing 4th by virtue of H2H win over Huss (5th)

Huss win; Crest and SC lose:

Crest and Huss tied at 5-2; Huss finishes 2nd by virtue of H2H over Crest (3rd)
SC (4-3) ends up 4th
Ashbrook and Forestview (3-4) - Ashbrook takes 5th based on H2H win over FV

Crest, SC, Huss all lose:
Crest (5-2) takes 2nd by themselves; SC, Ashbrook, and Huss finish in a 3-way tie at 4-3
3rd - Stuart Cramer (H2H wins over Ashbrook and Huss)
4th - Ashbrook (H2H over Huss)
5th - Hunter Huss

It looks like the Big South is in store for a wild finish with lots of games having conference standing and playoff implications.

I know the big south isn't as strong without SP but I have to admit...I love this conference so much more than our old one. The games are so much more exciting on Friday nights now. I actually want to go to these games.

You wasted your time Crest gonna take care business Friday nite!

Not a waste of time at all. My previous post emphasizes the importance of the Crest-KM game. If Crest wins, then it makes the rest of the conference standings clearer. However, if the Chargers fold, it becomes an absolute mess.

Sasha I really hope you enjoyed the Rutherford County bye weeks but it saddens me to say that you wasted your time and the baby Chargers plan on pounding KM out this week!!

I probably did not enjoy our Rutherford County bye weeks as much as you enjoyed Crest's victories this season over SP, Shelby, and Hunter Huss. :D

Stuart Cramer has really surprised me. I mean Ashbrook (I thought) was gonna be scary good with South Point coaches...alright we'll give them sometime to adapt to the greenbone, hard to learn something like that offense in one season....Huss though? I just can't wrap my head around it. 15 starters...Whatever.

Cleveland County big south schools is one touchdown away from owning SC but they whipped all their Gaston county brothers minus of course their biggest rival SP...The purple drizzle is fixing to become a hurricane guys and gal

Huss has eaten themselves up with penalties this season - averaging 13 per game for 109 yds (131-1085 through 10 games). It will be interesting to see if Ashbrook has gelled enough to take advantage of any Huss mistakes and take back the bell this year. I am going with the Green Wave 28-27. By the way, does anyone know how the rivalry has played out over the years?

As for Purple Rain, they consider us as their rival; we consider Crest and Shelby to be our rivals. May it take the Storm as long or longer than it took the Jaguars to get their first win over the Red Raiders. :)
