Football season has finally arrived.. Tonight kicks things off with several week 0 games. Will do them all and begin the 1 per class in week 1 next Friday.

- Coming off of 1-7 and 2-6 seasons from 2025.. Both Brady and Sutherland are looking to start their 2026 campaign off with a positive note. I feel like a lot of points my come across the board tonight

Lincoln Standing Bear VS Lincoln Northwest
- Standing Bear coming off a 2025 postseason appearance, NW with 1 win in 2025. Talent gap maybe not tremendous; however, leans Standing Bears direction.

Wauneta-Palisade VS Maxwell
- WP, 4-5 last seaoson, winning their 1st 4 then ending the season on a 5 game skid. Meanwhile, Maxwell found themselves 5-4 with some bright spots throughout their season. Toss up..

Hyannis VS Mullen
- Two playoff teams a year ago - Hyannis only 3-6 but a tough schedule, they also drew the dreaded draw.. Howells Dodge in the 1st round of the playoffs. Mullen, got hot and stayed hot, eventually fizzling out in the 2nd round to the eventual D2 state champs, Wynot. Nothing to hang their head about there. It's 2026 now, though..

Bayard VS Sandhills Valley
Bayard 1-7 a year ago.. Sandhills Valley? 0-8. Look for both teams to be a bit more competitive at times this season. Small schools, those type of seasons can happen. This is a good week 0 match up for both programs as they look to get their feet under them.
