The defense of Weddington should not be overlooked. They are o e of the top”D”s in the state. DL is undersized but very quick, strong, and deep. The overall speed of the defense is superlative. They have not given up many long drives, especially in the playoffs. Offensively, they have 2 RBs that can break a long one off at anytime. The offensive line might be the smallest you’ll ever see in a 3AA championship game, but they are very quick, strong, and disciplined. They are capable of 300 yards on the ground. However, they are a balanced attack. They have 3 WRs that run precise routes and have great hands. This might be the best Warrior team ever. I believe they will try to establish run early and often. SEG appears to run their offense through the QB. He looks to have a good arm and is effective, if not spectacular,when running the ball. Their interior lines look to have a distinct size advantage to Weddington, but so has every other team Weddington has played this year. Defensively, SEG was very aggressive in the second half against Cleveland. They turned the heat up a notch. Multiple fronts with blitz packages. The DEs are very fast and will be a challenge to block.
