In my mailbox today, I received a wedding invitation from a big-time State fan and the brother of an SPS poster. It's scheduled for the weekend of baseball regionals. How times have changed. Ed Orgeron & Sly Croom are the biggest reasons for the rash of Fall weddings in Mississippi the last few years. Now, it seems, Ron Polk can be blamed for State weddings the first weekend in June. Even as an Ole Miss fan, that sucks.

To me that's not as bad as Polk scheduling his beloved camp during the CWS, which incidentally was 2007 the year we went to Omaha.

I'm sure he would tell our fans that the CWS hurt our recruiting and many of them would lap it up like Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
