I see upper 90’s and folks are bailing or not tailgating etc. It looks to me like winds from the north and probably low humidity so I’m guessing it’s not as bad as people are making it out to be. What are our weather experts on the board saying?

95 degrees and sunny is hot as 17 even with a breeze and low humidity. I’ll be there... but it will be miserably hot. I have two extra tickets and expect I won’t even be able to give them away.

A bolt of lightning 29 miles away is a serious threat that players and fans can’t be exposed to.

An 11am game with field temps well over 100? No problem.

Not going to lie, I’m hoping and praying that we break it open early and lead by 3-4 TD’s at the half so that yours truly can get the heck out of the heat as soon as possible.

I had season tickets to the Rangers in 2011 when there were 71 days over 100° that summer in DFW. We watched at least 20 home games where first pitch was 100+. First base line, no shade for hours in night games, none at all during day games on Sundays.

It's not bad. Take it from an expert, Saturday will be fun for everyone at Davis Wade. Sure you will sweat, but the key is to drink a bunch of beer... Welp. I forgot.. You're 17'd if you're going.

I'm going to try to convince myself that I'm going to a baseball game. That way maybe I'll accept the weather a little better and won't ***** as much. I'll then do the opposite in late February when I'm sitting out there in the coldest place in Starkville watching a mid-week game.

The latest model I saw showed an air temp of 93 and a heat index of 100 at 1pm Saturday. I don't imagine it'll go up or down too much between now and then.

Keep in mind one thing. When they say high of 95 and heat index of 100 that is measured in the shade. If your ticket is upper deck east side fully exposed to the sun you can add another 15-25 degrees so your actual heat index could be around 120. Please keep that mind before you drag your infant out to the game to sit in Satan's ballsack level heat for four hours.

MSU and the rest of the SEC don't care in the least bit about the fans that actually show up and attend the games, and yet they wonder why attendance is falling at football games. I hope when the next television contract is negotiated, the conference will insist on more flexibility in setting game times.

Run 5 miles everyday at 100 degrees in Texas. BRANG IT!!!

20+ miles a week here bro. Sitting at a ball game is a relaxing day.... It will be 102° on Saturday here in Dallas, I might go push mow 2 acres and listen to Neil and Matt on my headphones during the game in solidarity for those in attendance.**

Better yet, leave your toddlers at home. And your grand dad too!*** too dang hot!

This. Last game I was at that was this hot I saw an elderly woman pass out from the heat waiting for the shuttle. Day games in September are not for the really young or old. Yet I know sitting in the stands Saturday I'll see infants everywhere. Most with virtually no sun protection at all.

At what heat index does black ployester spontaneously combust, serious question.

You ain’t lying. Walking to the Superdome last weekend, we were mostly covered by shade thanks to all the surrounding buildings. However, every few minutes when you’d cross the street and hit the rays of hell from our giant fireball in the sky, it was absolutely brutal.

I care not that beers were $12 and a nasty hot dog was $5. It was worth it to be in an air conditioned dome

Has there ever been this big of an overreaction to weather for a game before? It’s like people have never been out in the heat before around here.

See, this is why I went to college, so I could afford an automobile and a riding lawnmower!**

Acclimation is real. I race mountain bikes in worse heat. Hydration and being prepared are the key. Along with a cold beer afterwards.

I passed on 4 good free seats. I'm in the camp that would much rather spend my day floating in my pool and smoking a pork butt - and watching the game on a big screen TV with all the amenities/comforts at the house.

Exactly, EVERYTHING is now about TV revenue at the expense of killing the gameday experience for the fan who attends. Next person on the board complaining about game attendance should be banned.**
