We contain there 3 point shooting that’s how we won the first time as with Illinois let the bigs get there’s but keep the 3 pointers to a minimum
I kind of take this for granted. Our perimeter defense is never a concern for me.
It was early in the season and against Minnesota and Maryland so it should be can’t double down
We have given up a lotttt of open 3's this year. I do like our perimeter matchups in this game though and don't think they have someone to matchup with new Paul
Last game against PU Pike threw everyone against Edey. Cliff, Ralph, Dean and even Luke. Luke actually didn’t get pushed around as much as the others. Williams totally overwhelmed Ralph. More concerned about containing Williams who comes off the bench but plays 25+ minutes.
We match up ok everywhere except their 2 bigs...Cliff has done a great job of staying out of foul trouble - but now has to go against 2 Kofi's, not just one. Need to prevent passes into the middle and swarm if their big men put the ball on the floor. Edey is a very physical ( and dirty) player who likely gets all the hometown calls.
Yeah giving up 34% on threes. Not great.
We need to to choose spots to double the post, but not leave their shooters open.
