Louisville’s bench is better (and much deeper). Samuel Williamson and Malik Williams in particular are very good subs. Dwayne Sutton is also better than EJ Montgomery.

Louisville is a much better shooting team, and its starters have been playing together for years. Kentucky looks pretty dysfunctional right now.

I’m not saying we can’t win, but this is the least confident I’ve been about the game since the series started.
EJ vs. Sutton is a decent argument if you're going about overall player. But from a power forward perspective....EJ just has length. I've watched Sutton struggle to get going offensively against longer players. Now is he a better at most skills...sure....but matchup wise I just think EJ is a mismatch for him at the 4 spot. Sutton is a better wing..but 5 inches of difference and a little more speed/bounce make EJ better in this match-up.

As far as the bench goes...

-Quickley is better than Williamson....by a lot.

-Williams is better than Sestina.

-Brooks and Juzang vs. Kimble, David Johnson, Igehion
A lot of unproven guys...Kimble is more experienced but a mid-major guard...and 2 4-star freshman and ours are 5 stars.

You can say they're deeper...but your team is about your best 7-8.

If Sestina and even Allen are back...we are fine with 10 solid guys and 7-8 really good guys.

Ranking the 10 best on either team.
1. Nwora-L
2. Hagans-K
3. Maxey-K
4. Sutton-L
5. Richards-K
6. Quickley-K
7. Enoch-L
8. Montgomery-K
9. Williams-L
10. Whitney-K

I mean I only see Nwora, Enoch, and Sutton truly cracking our rotation...Williams would be a 3rd/4th big.

Some of what you say is true but you are looking at this through a "pro prospect" lens. McMahon, with the way he can shoot, would have great value to UK. Also, Enoch looked good last night so I would think he could "crack the rotation".

I didn't say Enoch wasn't good...I gave him credit! He'd probably start for us for sure. Sutton/Enoch/Nwora...2 of those 3 would start at the 3/4 for us...our weak point.

I'm talking about how they matchup on a basketball court. And Sutton is an undersized 4...and he struggles with length. Most college teams don't have a forward the length and speed of EJ. He can get his points against a Luke Maye type...but there's 5 inches of difference when he faced EJ...and EJ can run wit him. It's not who is better...it's who is a better match-up. Like last night...Michigan big men were long...he got his rebounds(from a lot of missed shots)....but only managed to get off 3 shots due to the length. EJ's numbers show he makes Kentucky a way better defensive team when he's on the court...especially combined with Nick.

McMahon maybe? But do you ever see Cal allowing a player like McMahon to get minutes? I mean he didn't like Baker's defense...Hagans, Quickley, and Maxey aren't giving any time to a Ryan McMahon. None of their guards come close to our guys.

This team is going to be ready for a big time matchup and I think we will play up to our competition in this one. Playing at home is going to be a major advantage in this game don’t underestimate that factor. They are absolutely not more athletic than we are but a little bit deeper right now based on overall experience. I think we lose one more before we play them and that will probably be a good thing. I also believe that they will come in to Rupp Arena undefeated.

Michigan couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with a base fiddle last night. Wide open at that

Louisville has been playing really good ball and we haven’t. Not being a negative nancy but I see no reason why our fans are hyping this team up to only bash them if they lose.
I take it you didn't watch the U6 vs Mich game?

They beat us when they have better players and only on their home court.

Hagans >>> Perry
Maxey >>> McMahon
Whitney <<< Nwora
Montgomery = Sutton
Richard = Enoch

Quickley, Brooks, Sestina, Juzang > (Kimble, Williams, Williamson, Johnson)

Calipari >>> 10-loss Mack

Rupp Arena > Road Team

We have BETTER PLAYERS. We have MORE TALENT. We have BETTER ATHLETES. We have THE BETTER COACH. We are AT HOME.

8 of our players have NBA potential to be drafted. I only see 3 on their team that may get drafted...1-2 may get a contract somewhere.
This is not about "nba draft potential "! If it was we would have 7-8 NC by now. It's college bb and the best college TEAM wins. If any fan base should understand that by now it should be ours.

Name one place I was wrong.

All 3 of our guards poop on any guard in their rotation. Let them play Ryan McMahon against Hagans or Maxey...or Fresh Mid-Major Kimble too.

Nwora is better at wing than anything we got...

Sutton, Williams, and Williams are probably deeper than Nick, EJ, Nate....but we do have more length than they've seen this year...it's honestly just a matchup that we won't know until we get out on the court.

I'd be more worried if Pitino was coaching this UL team with this roster. Pitino had a way of playing ugly against UK (ULs defense under Pitino has been discussed to death here so I assume folks know what I am talking about). From what I have seen Mack keeps it alot cleaner. We lose if our shots are a little off and UL finds thier 3 pt range. We win in every other scenario I think.

We definitely “should” beat Loserville. We have better talent and a better coach. The only edge they have is experience, but this is one of our more experienced teams by our standards. Our guards should eat them up. I’d say it’s a push on the interior, but Richards and EJ have been playing very well.
