We weren’t given a Final 4. The #1 overall seed was beat by a 16 seed. Seeds 1-5 gone in our region because they didn’t bring their game. Gotta bring it night in and night out. It’s earned, not given and we didn’t earn it tonight.
I put this close to the scale of Zona and UVA losing first round, we blew a golden oppurtunity.

And I get what the OP is saying but it’s wrong. You never get “handed” a final four. All bets are off in this tournament and there are gonna be crazy upsets every year. I mean god almighty, UNC, Zona, Tennessee, Virginia....us losing to Kansas State is actually much less surprising any of those.
It was bad but no where near as bad as the overall #1 losing to a 16 seed.

At least us UGA fans can claim that we lost to K State this year too. Led them wire to wire in Manhattan in fact and Mark Fox went and Mark Foxed and that was that.

The only positive I can see is maybe more people staying. Knox is BARELY a lottery pick. Shai is top 10 but I just don't see him as an NBA player. If anyone besides those 2 leaving then I get pissed off and Cal needs to grab some other players. We need to steal EJ Montgomery and maybe 1 other, depending on who leaves.
Shai is a lottery pick and the highest ranked UK prospect right now, he should absolutely leave.
After 2015, I was the same way. I allowed myself to think 2017 could be different and then it stomped it out. Hard to ever get excited about sports now.
