Almost impossible to overcome those big plays.. This unfolded just like I thought it would. Dylan is very good but needs an elite offensive line and RB to take the pressure off. Some big goofs on offense and defense could have changed this game.

Mr. We Were Close getting a win today over The Ghost of Bill Belichick.

Compelling matchup between a coaching legend and a legend in his own mind.

Horrible offensive line play. Piss poor open field tackling by the defense. No difference maker running backs. Horrible decision by Rhule on our first drive. Those are the reasons we lost.
Michigan could dictate the game, they were averaging 10 ypc from backs. I think Rhule knows our defense sucks *** and knew it was going to be a high scoring game. This isn't his style of play for sure but his best talent is on the offensive side of the ball. We were inches from converting and our kicker could have missed anyway. He blew timeouts and did an on-side kick because he knew our defense wasn't going to stop anyone. Can't run the ball and can't stop the run, fortunately we are in the big 10 and don't play anybody good for a couple months. We are a bottom tier program with a 5 star qb.

There were so many turning points in this game, take your pick.

Missed opportunities early in the game. Missed field goal, continued problems in red zone. Why we didn't run it is beyond me.

I had questions about our D coordinator this summer and was assured we would be just fine. We are not. Coaches get players in positions to make play, players have to make them. We didn't have guys in the right places.

Their rush ends/outside LB's whatever you want to call them dominated our tackles from start to finish. It comes down to footwork at full speed practice and apparently we don't do that.

We were outcoached at many times. Rhule in the first quarter, saved by a hail mary to make it look respectable. QB draws were free money for Michigan. This D performance is right up there with good ole Kevin Cosgrove.

We can run enough to stay a little unpredictable but we have no bail out plays if things fall apart which they did all day. Teams we play will model their D after this game even if they do not have the horses. Raiola is not going to beat you with his feet, fakes are just for show, the long ball is seldom successful, just hang in there long enough to let us get into the red zone, then bring the house.

Our D was completely out of position and their technique broke down often. Michigan's play caller was a step ahead of us most of the day.

Michigan could very well be a great team this year. Let’s let the season evolve. I saw some positives but our two tackles were outclassed and our defense was out muscled up front leading to huge gaps for their backs.

They killed us on the drive we needed to stop them on some great play calling (screen and draw). Credit to UM. They have a better base of athlete than we do. And them moving #1 to edge rather than ILB was the difference. He looked like a first rounder

Special teams also played a part in the loss. Cunanan missed what should have been an easy 44-yard field goal, while they made a 56-yarder. And Barney's dumb decision to field a punt within the 5-yard line was a costly mistake.

The defense not having to worry about Raiola in the run game hurts us. They could just pin their ears back on anything resembling a passing situation.

Kinda what I said with my prediction, I questioned the oline they struggled against Cinciny every pass play they’d lose their leverage and basically get picked up and pushed back, the tackling reminds me of Cory Mc, imo they all need to lose their black shirts

Raiola is the reason we almost won. He kept us in the game despite the pressure. What you say here is true of any QB who is a pocket passer without great wheels. There have been tons of successful QB’s who are like that and their offensive lines are good enough to protect them. The fact is, Michigan’s defense did not have to respect ANY run game from us including that of our grossly overrated running back EJ. Our offensive line can’t run block or pass block. Teams with pure pocket passers counteract the rush with designed delayed draw plays and so on. But we can’t even do that.

Matt kenneth Rhule is a freaking dipshte. When are you Husker tough guys and homers gonna realize it? What is it going to take? Rooting for the team is one thing. I have been saying this since day one. I bleed Husker red, but I am not a homer. Business is business. This coach is a .500 coach, a used car salesman loudmouth. and is always going to be a loser in the long run. I know there is some uneducated dipshites on this board,, but really? Freaking people know jack-crap about football. 15-14 ? Really? 9 mil a YEAR. EDUCATED YOURSELF. DAMN.

The Cincy game told you everything you need to know. Few apparently got this because they were blinded by the used car salesman talk. I am glad I am not a con-artist. People that know how football works and what talent is---I would have no chance. This board? Easy money.

The savior special teams coach has been stuck at that position for a reason. Because he has Nebraska ties, he was a great hire. Until people get pissed, and rip these pretender coaches and the ****** hires by the administration (TO) this program will continue to be a joke. A legend that bailed on us, is still haunting this program. Call it like it is and man-up.

Close? That was a very average Michigan team that got their asses handed to them by Oklahoma. Matt has us back, though. LOL.

Prettty much on the money. Raiola is the least of our problems.

That's why I've always favored a mobile quarterback. It's easier to recruit 1 stud mobile quarterback over 7 stud offensive linemen and running backs.
