Poor effort, poor coaching........I hate saying that too. Love Huggs but he was out-coached in every game this year.

Yes we did. But I don't agree with you on Huggins getting out coached.

He did. And I LOVE Huggs. But WKU switched up defenses on us, continued the same offense, and we made zero adjustments. We kept the same players on the court that kept looking lost and turning it over and missing wide open shots. We continue staying in the press when we cannot play like that this year.

At this point, this is a HORRIBLE team. But, while I realize Huggs is Hall of Fame bound, this has not been his finest work. His rotations are odd and his team is clueless. Not to mention, he recruited this lot. So, he has to take a fair amount of the blame. If he turns this team into a .500 club this year, I'll be shocked. Now, THAT would be a good coaching job.

Call me crazy, but I suspect there aren't a lot blue chippers out there willing to put up with his dehumanizing approach to players and asinine defense over offense exceptions. I swear, he wouldn't take Zion Williamson because he once let up on a ball to prevent himself from slamming into a scorer's table.

The camera wasn't on him the entire time, but I haven't seen him go after the players like he's done in the past. Perhaps that's a sign of a "softer" Huggy and perhaps that's the problem? I felt he left guys in TOO LONG tonight after several key TO's.

WVU had TWENTY TWO turnovers!!! Sloppy, indecisive passing. 22-13 turnover margin.

Ahmad is too soft. Had 4 turnovers. Only Bolden have more TO, at 5. Two veterans with NINE turnovers. Inexcusable.

Konate, working on his 3-point shots instead of dominating the lane, had ONE field goal and 5 points.

Terrible offense at penetrating the Western Kentucky defense.

Press Virginia and double-teaming isn't there either.

LOT of work to do for the Mountaineers to be even competitive in the Big 12. A LOT!!!

The only glimmer of hope. It's a long basketball season. Let's see how many players see the light go on in their heads as the season progresses.

#13? Not even #31 at this stage.

Sags was working on that 3-point shot because he didn't want any part of a future NBA center.

I think that at some point he will settle on a pair of guards and ride them, ala JC and Dax. Just don't think he knows who they are yet.

Soon, Harler's minutes will start to go down. The sooner the better.

So you actually know how to coach this team but Hugs doesn’t. Can some of you guys not see what you post? You are hilarious clowns.

Yeah, it’s really remarkable how Huggins was suck a good coach last year but forgot how to coach this year. I’m sure a young backcourt has nothing to do with it.

Esa had how many turnovers? Sags scored 5 points. Yeah, blame it on that young backcourt (2 Juniors played 75% of the minutes BTW). And don't think I'm a Huggs hater, I've always defended Huggs. However, just because he's a HOF coach who has taken us to high levels doesn't mean he cannot be criticized. His substitution patterns and the fact our offense still stinks is on him and the coaching staff. The turnovers is on the players, I agree.

They are not playing like a team. Yes, we have inexperience and youth at the guard positions but our bigs which were supposed ro be our strength have been horrible so far. They need to stop reading the press clippings, taking contested 3 point shots, and doing the childish arm flexing and start defending, rebounding, passing the ball and winning games. I can't believe that JC and Dax made our bigs look so good...but I guess they really did.

Yes we suck right now but with carter and miles gone there would be a drop off. Let’s see what things look like after game 10 and if Hugge can find a lineup that works.

I know Huggins hates to lose probably more than anybody, but the important thing is finding what will work and what does not work when it really counts (B12). As for me I won't get too excited until then. Better to start slow and improve then vice versa!

He has to let Knapper and McCabe work through their youth, inexperience. Rep them up and get Konate back down low. Konate should be benched for firing up another 3 pointer. Who cares about his draft status. He will never play in NBA anyway. Too short and slow with no skills outside of around basket.

Was. Period. My question is who recruited this team of lead footed, big headed stiffs?

It's always the coach that get's the blame but never the coach when the wins come. Ridiculous concept.

It's a team effort or lack of it. The coach and the players.

Well when you have 5'10 guards playing against 6'4 guards with your supposed NBA player standing at the 3 because he thinks he is a SF. I wish he would have turned pro and left.

I actually agree with you with one deviation...the coach recruits, develops, and maintains the culture while the players play. Lions share of praise and blame goes to the top of the pyramid...the head coach.

West, Harris, Konate all looked like studs last year. Why? Dax and JC. This year we don't have either and we stink at the guard position.

OK...............the Mountaineers need to go to the lob pass and score. Throw it up to Konate and see the fear in the eyes of the defense. Do this twenty times a game. Game over. Warez

If that's the case then Sags should be benched for not playing where he should be. He's not a guard and is clogging up the works by not letting the guards get separation because he is in the way. move to blocks Sags, move to the blocks.

I agree. Sags needs to forget about auditioning for the NBA with 3's (he made NONE) and get in the paint where he belongs, blocking and dunking.

If what you say is true................why in the heck does Huggs not recognize the problem and make the changes? If you see it.........I gotta believe Huggs sees it. He's the HoF coach. Not you or me. Warez

I've always defended Huggs. But this year, he's struggling in the first 3 games plus Penn State exhibition. The team is struggling worse.

Honestly what do you really know. The answer is obvious. Compared to Hugss absolutely nothing. Just be a fan and don’t coach.

In one post you blast my "knowledge", and in another post to Rootmaster you agreed with the same points that I made.......imbecile.
