I'll say it in lieu of the W. this time we give up 100 and when we had a chance to finish them off we let them get a lead. That is not the hallmark of a championship caliber team. I mean 6'3" guarding 6'8"????? Idk what dictated that matchup but as I've said a thousand times we need more size on the floor. Briscoe played hard but there isn't a starting spot for him. He should be our 6th man. Gabriel shoulda been on Jackson. We had 1 player score nearly half our pts. I got back to cals concerns this week and an acknowledgement this team is lacking. Cheaters are a fine team but we were up 10 and we let them back in it. It's all about a championship this year or bust. Good win but we lead by consistent 7-10 points all game and nearly lost it.

Btw this is for the one guy who says I won't post my opinion unless we lose.

I never felt comfortable with the lead, knew N.C. would mount a charge. They are North Carolina, not EKU....? That said, the guys showed grit against a tough opponent, and have renewed my faith in the team. If they play half as tough against UofL Wednesday night, we should pull out of Louisville with the "W".

Yeah...2012 gave up like 97 points to IU in the sweet 16 and still won the title. You're weak sauce man

JFC, no one is saying we played perfectly, but enjoy the win for a few hours at least. Sometimes you have to tip your hat to your opponent. UNC*** is an outstanding team, and you're simply not going to be able to hold a great team down forever.

The takeaway is that we played imperfectly, let them back into the game, gave up the lead, and STILL found a way to pull it out. WITH FRESHMEN!

I'll bet you're really fun at parties.

You watched two teams who could easily play for the title go toe to toe and this is the best you can come up with. If UK isn't a contender, then UNC isn't either. Nor UCLA. So who is? UNC is logging 4 seniors and coming off a title appearance where they lost by a last second jumper.

Good God man. Be happy for 10 seconds.

You don't know ish from apple butter and I'm confident the entire board minus trolls agree . It also shows how pitiful you are taking the field against UK when even the greatest of teams don't win the tourney . In fact the odds are against UK individually of winning it all , way to stick your neck out there . Omg you could have been right the other 100 plus years we didn't win it either , amazing analysis

Uncheat is no title team either. UCLA held us to 43% shooting. Volume is what enabled ya to score in the 90s

Have you seen Gabriel defend out of the floor? We don't seem to have that player on our team to stop Jackson but UNC didn't have the player on their team to stop Monk. Advantage us.

Well you admitted my point. All you had to do was stop ripping hump and acting like you knew what you were talking about. It's win NCAA or bust. If your expectation is the odds are against us well that will be your excuse that gets you through

Also, Briscoe..the shortest guy on the floor for UK...led the team in rebounds. You remain to be brain dead.

We needed this win really bad and got it. That's all that matters right now. Plenty of time to improve on the things we need to.

This is a big win for seeding. Carolina will be in the conversation for a 1 seed when it's all said and done. Having a win over them is huge.

We are still in December and with Coach Cal we know his teams get better on defense as the season progresses. We will be fine on defense by Tournament time and with this Offense scoring and averaging 96ppg this could be the year. By the way this is a Championship Caliber team when you are leading by 10 points and we knew North Carolina wasn't going away and they took the lead but Kentucky came through in the end to win the game. This team as young as they are could have folded when UNC took the lead after UK led by 10 or 11 points in 2nd half. Anyway, I thought it was a great game and most experts were saying with Berry back and UNC with their experience would beat Kentucky. Coach Cal has talked about the defense lately and we know that this will be cleaned up by March Madness. Cal always has the team playing great Defense when March Madness roll around.

Check your calendar. We beat a very experienced and very good team who loves to run as much as we do and still beat them at a neutral site. How many titles have been won on December 17th in NCAA history. Maybe give this team and coaching staff a chance to improve the defense between the middle of December and March and you might be a little happier??? Wow, what a negative person you are, glad I don't have to watch games with you.
