Buddy you don’t have to worry about us winning it. We shot our bullet last night just trying to ensure we made it to today. I think we are just hoping to steal a quality win today or tomorrow. If this team wins this tournament it will be because we average 12+ runs a game starting today.

I would love to find a third pitcher, but not sure how likely a light is going to just flip on at this point, and I'd hate to skip a week of work for MCleod and Bednar.

I’m about to the point of accepting that anyone aside from Macleod and Bednar is just going to get torched. All we can do is hope that our bats somehow keep up with them

I think unless the 4 seed in our regional has a scary ace, I’m starting to think our best play is Hootie in Game 1 and then MacLeod and Bednar in some order in Games 2 and 3. It’s a high risk play certainly and totally unconventional. But man, it sure feels like that’s the play that gives us the absolute best shot to win the regional. We are certainly a team built for the Supers and Omaha much more so than the regional round.

Fristoe falling off has hurt badly because he got a lot of innings that could have been used to find a third pitcher, but the reality is lots of people have had enough innings to prove themselves and it just hasn't happened. I would have never guessed with all the arms we have that none of them would emerge as a consistent third starter. I really thought we had enough options that somebody was likely to emerge that would be a #2 on most staffs outside the top 4. Not sure if we just don't have it or maybe having too many options prevented any one of them from getting the innings they needed for it to click.
