we are supposed to win. 7 years of that is unacceptable. I cannot feel excited enough to stay behind a program that accepts this. We only beat the bottom-tier big 12 and a directional-U or to every...season.

What’s the point in telling everyone this? Most folks are content and no one ever changes their minds on these boards.

Either give money to the program or not. That’s all you can do.

I think a local High School would appreciate the donation more...

It's your $$$$$. You give it where you want to. It's part of being an American.

But if you think anyone else really cares, you're probably gonna be disappointed.

I don't watch the NFL or support it or the NBA or MLB or Soccer or any women's sports or pro rasslin, but they still Do it. They still go on every week.

On a side note, you can donate and earmark your donation to specific programs. Wrestling, rifle, baseball, basketball... whatever floats your boat.

That's been the case the last 2 seasons, but I think the 2014 OSU win and the 2015 Baylor wins were ones WVU shouldn't have won. Those teams lost games they shouldn't though, like the 2015 loss to Texas. Ultimately I like the idea of controlling what you can. Hence it's bothersome when the team does not consistently show heart or good fundamentals. If we can't get hogs on the online, a good strength and conditioning program along with a coach that can implement a zone blocking scheme could compensate. If you can't get the exact players you need, get the most out of what you can get. Part of that is having them prepared and really pounding good fundamentals. I don't see Dana as being too keen on the little things as opposed to say Coach Huggins who does seem to get the best out of his players more often than not.

You should demand that AD Lyons pay Mr. Saban about $9 million per year and get him in here now....and pay whatever his buyout is....and whatever Dana's buyout is....and then pay all the salaries of all of Saban's assistants...and then meet all of their demands.

Would you rather lose the games you are suppose to win?
Were we suppose to lose #14 ISU or beat them?
Were we suppose to lose #23 TTU or beat them?
Were we suppose to lose #25 Baylor or beat them?
Were we suppose to lose #11 Texas or beat them?
Were we suppose to lose #11 OSU or beat them?
Were we suppose to lose #4 Baylor or beat them?

Hope you enjoy your new found team. Is it Marshall or Arizona?

Countryroads89................I like the way you talk! I'll send my $2 by Western Union.................tomorrow. Saban alone gets about $200,000 a week for his services. It's gonna take a lot of $2 being wired to Mo'town. Warez

Hey, I've have a brilliant idea. Why don't you pay the $9 million and pay the buyouts.

By the way, Holgs buyout is somewhere around $9.5 million. Yes, Mr. Holgs has the world by the tail. Can you believe that Holgs is smart enough to fleece our state out of this kind of money? Well, he is! Warez

We just need to get 100,000 people to sign up to pay that $2 per week and we'll have Saban's salary covered.

Maybe we should start one of those marketing commercials....and play soft, sad music in the background, like they do on those ASPCA commercials (not that I'm against the ASPCA), and just beg and urge people to donate....impress upon them that this is a dire situation...people's livelihoods depend on it....just $2 per week, or simply $104 per year...we can turn this around, Nick and his family can continue to live the standard of living they are accustomed to, only in the wonderful state of WV. Countryroads89, I didn't say I would send $2 per week! I wired my $2 by Western Union this morning. I don't plan to do this annually either. I suggest that the 'real' fans take out a loan to make this thing happen. I will consider co-signing. Bring Saban home! Warez

My bad. (In my best Mr. Haney voice from Green Acres) You've got to admit, for just $104 per year, you could be a part of what purchases so much happiness for so many Mountaineer fans. If you'll commit, we just have to find 99,999 more donors....and then we'll start working on those pesky buyouts.

I laughed at that one.

Every morning before work I'm watching Dateline or Law & Order before I head out the door and the Humaine Society commercials come on with Kelly Cuoco or that dark headed chic (hotty) telling me how for only $19 a month I can save animals and get this dark blue "fashionable" shirt to show my support for animals. I always kind of laugh cause I'm generally eating deer sausage with my eggs.

According to dream world fans we are suppose to win them all.

Wonder if OSU fans are happy. They lost 3 games, were picked to be in the playoffs against OU. Just as every year OSU fails to meet expectations.

As far as Vegas. They picked us 6th with a 6-6 final record. Without Grier injury I fully expected to be 8-4.

You people act as if WVU should have won the Big 12 it's first year and many times after that. We win 3 bcs bowls and everyone thought gravy and no mash potatoes. Beating a team once in a bowl does not make you God. Play these teams on a regular basis every year and see what happens.

I got news for you Saban wouldn't win at WVU. Take a look at his coaching record, nothing really special expect for that one year at LSU. The reason he has been so sucessful at bama is because he gets about any 4/5 star kid he wants. I am not taking anything away from him he is a really good coach but he runs a pro style system and needs pro type athletes to make it work, he wouldn't be able to get enough of them at WVU

His buyout is 11 million this year. 8.1 in year 2 and 6.9 for the last 3 years.

There are 4 teams that we played that finished in the top 25. We went 0-4 against them. That's Dana for you.
