It's rough right now, but we need to continue to show support to these guys. They did nothing wrong. Too many other people around them did. Continue to root for them. And continue to give recruits a reason to come here.

I can think of about 7 things Laviano did wrong. I can think of about 11 things Longa did wrong. Shall I keep going...

RUAdministration does not give 2 shats about RU football , why should the casual fan ?
Most on this Board will be there.
I am not an alumni and foolishly donate thousands. What a chump I am.

The best support you can show is to ignore the malcontents that can't see or say a single positive thing about a supposed team they love. I really wonder why they bother paying a monthly fee if all they want to do is complain about how terrible every f'n person involved with the football program is. Check each person who is most critical and count the number of posts they put up just today.

Support the players sure, they are college kids after all.

Supporting the administration that is okay having a worse than mediocre coach who can't recruit is just silly though. Can we just FFW to January where Schiano is named coach again?

Truth is sometimes you gotta just let go.

This team is going to have a rough ride this year. It was inevitable after the events of this week.

Just show up and take the ride with the kids. Cheer them on. It's all we can do. I fully expected to get beat down tonight. Just as I fully expect beatdowns from MSU and OSU. Rough season.

Not to be argumentative but what positives did you take out of tonight?

Wish I could come up with some positives tonight but I can't. We have an offense that can't score points. Our defense yields to whatever the other team does well whether that be pass(WSU) or run(psu). Coaches show nothing creative and make no adjustments be that play calling or personnel. My wife and I do donate and will continue to do so. But it is getting to the point where we might just need a change to reinvigorate the fan base if just for a few years.

It's going to be about wins and losses. From what I've seen so far, we're going to have more of the latter than the former. Defense is timid and weak, offense is misfiring, team discipline is lacking with the number of penalties - and a plague of off the field issues. Tie that all up in a bow with a 4-8 season, and this coaching staff will be turned over.

Not seeing anything that gives me confidence that this staff can turn this season around.

I hate to say it but JH and Barchi need to see a stadium with 10k fans versus Maryland, and if Flood is not fired before that or Rettig does not start, they will get it.

I will be letting them know, I will make no academic or athletic donations while KF is HC.

The worst thing that you can do is turn a blind eye to the disaster that is the Rutgers football program.
That's right . Any fan with a backbone should be pissed and tell RU so.

agree. the most effective way is an empty stadium. this is what B1G cares about. they won't be happy. when they decided to keep KF after last season, i decided not to go to the home games. i won't be returning to home games anymore as long as KF is HC.

We're playing with mostly juniors, and sophomores who who don't haveuch experience. Can you give them time to get better or is one game your limit?

I won't go that far this year. If there are not some changes made by the current coaching staff I'm not sure I'll see as many games as this year. The RB by committee has to go. As much as I hate to say it PJ is not performing at the same level as Hicks and Martin.

If the QB cannot support the system in which he is asked to play then you need to see if the other one can. I look at a team like NIU and see them play tough against the big boys for the last several years and wonder how that is. Do they have better talent? Well according to the people who measure stars the answer would be no. Do they have better coaches? Any thoughts from anyone?

Is this serious....these are the same problems we have had for FOUR YEARS except when Robb Smith and Fridge covered them up. The pass defense has been a disgrace since 2013, no matter who was back there.

We won 8 games including a bowl last year. If you expect Rutgers to play like Ohio State, you are delusional.

The resources are not there to fix the problem and Flood is cheap.

Faculty vs. Football (Faculty wins)

Why you ask, because they have the Star-Ledger on their side. Rutgers will never be a perennial powerhouse. Every 10 or 12 years you'll have a season like 2006 and honestly that's good enough most at the Executive level.
