I would not encourage you to run a drop 8 with 3 down linemen who can’t win 1vs1’s much less beat double teams. Trust me on this one.

We already blitz a good bit, and I expect us to do so again Saturday. The concern is we haven't been great at getting to the QB this year. Blitzes that don't get home are even worse than sitting back in coverage because the big play potential is far greater.

This is a different beast but we have been generally good at stopping the run this year. We are prone to the occasional big play but we don't really get gashed play after play like the two defenses you saw in Oxford on Saturday. Our ability to stay in the game probably depends on us being able to limit big passing plays.
