He was the main reason Colorado went 10-2 and competed for the Pac12 Championship back in 2016. Felt he deserved the job at Oregon, and caused a rift with the staff there. If there's a proven guy on the market, it won't get better than this. Frost needs to be able to pull the trigger on this type of move or we're gonna tread water another couple years.

Urban Meyer would hire him in a heartbeat, he wants to win as soon as possible. Frost making same mistake as Bill Callahan.

Get him here. But won’t happen since Frost passes up talent (joe burrow) and then complains about his talent. It’s like Jon Gruden trading away Khalil Mack and then saying pass rushers are hard to come by. This guy is proven. Why not? Chinander can move to linebackers coach and learn from him. Tim beck went from OC to QB coach at Texas.

Exactly, Frost must feel threatened by a really good DC and coach. Put aside the fraternity feel good friendship staff and go for winners. It's not like he has a problem personality.

Remember the coach and player saying emotions aren’t not a big factor a few weeks so? Leavitt wouldn’t fit in such an environment. His “emotions” are a big part of his coaching and got him fired at USF. (Of course a similar incident got Kush fired twenty years ago so touching players with bad intent hasn’t been allowed for quite a few years.) There is no place for this kind of old school coaching in our kinder, gentler environment where monotones only need apply. If there was an opening and there won’t be.

Good defensive coach but isn't older than dirt already?

Not that you ever had any credibility, but that statement means you’re either doing nothing but trolling or spout complete nonsense knowing nothing about football. Try googling Leavitt being fired from USF. His temper on the sidelines was very Bo like as well.

Scrap that, nothing but trolling.

Leavitt was fired from USF for grabbing a player by the throat and slapping him, then trying to get witnesses to cover for him. No thanks.

That's funny. I was going to take him to task for another baseless, ridiculous statement in the same post. So if we have it straight, Jim Leavitt is a choir boy who just happens to be out of work for no particular reason and Scott Frost, who's worked with a Hall of Fame lineup of coaches in his career and has won everyone he's been, is too insecure to surround himself with greatness. Laughing

I wanted to go down that path too, but felt it was piling on.

Name 1 current assistant coach, that would have no problem getting another power 5 job? Chins would not even get an AAC DC job.

Classic troll move. Make ridiculous statements, get called out, then respond with something unrelated in an attempt to change the subject.

But just because it's so damn easy, I'll bite on your latest hyperbole...

1) Troy Walters (was a P5 coach at Texas A&M, NC State and CU before NU)
2) Tony Tuioti (was a P5 coach at Cal before NU)
3) Ryan Held (considered a top 25 recruiter)

You asked for one. There's three. Walters and Tuioti certainly have the resumes to land another P5 job. Walter's next will be his fifth. Tuioti's next will be his third.

This is Held's first P5 job but when you're considered a top 25 recruiter, you'll never be unemployed for long. Another P5 job would also come easily for him too.

And funny enough, since you mentioned Chins specifically, NU is not his first P5 job either. He was LB coach at Oregon when Frost was OC. Another P5 job as an assistant (not DC) would certainly be in his wheelhouse with experience at Oregon and NU.

Any other drama queen statements you want to throw out or are you done for this thread?

No one said anything about same job title. He asked for one coach that could get another P5 job, period. The idea of Walters landing another P5 OC job is not outlandish, but there's no question he would land a P5 gig of some kind, as would Tuioti, Held and probably Chins.

He was released of duties because of his personality and treatment of players
