We need a short yardage offense with Shrader at QB

[wrapit]

Got to be able to pick up the short yards with options to carry the ball.

agreed, typical Leech.....only listens to himself

Got to &be able to pick up the short yards with options to carry the ball.

That said....hats off to leach's D.

****, I think we win with him under center. Lots of first downs left on the table because we tried to throw stupid throws when there was a nothing but green grass to run to. Or because we weren’t willing to drop a shoulder and get a critical first down. Schrader would have gotten that last one.

GS would have tried to score on that last one. Possibly could have.

GS is now a receiver, learn to live with it. I wonder if Leach would be willing to involve him in the running game though. Would be fun to see some sweeps and reverse plays or some double passes.

Leach doesn't change a damn thing. This is it.

This is it. He runs his offense air raid. If you wanted something different you should have fired Cohen. His last two coaches do their thing that's what they do and don't do any different if anyone is surprised by what we have seen so far you don't know much about leach. He runs the air raid. When your qb doesn't play aggressive and accurate and plays carelessly and timid this is what you get. Leach won't run zone read or do under center: his strategy tonight didn't work well compounded by hill going out early. We really didn't have much of a backfield or out of backfield threat. Dc's will give you the underneath but you still have to go down field more and be more accurate in the red zone. Qbs can't be afraid to scramble for first downs when the grass is there. I though Costello wasn't patient enough in this game. Receivers also were not running to grass this game to find the hole in the zone. You have to understand where those holes will be the receiver and the qb. Have to get better. As good as we played last week we played equally as bad and coached equally as bad this week

Agreed- shrader should have been in to run on both those 4th down playes- no brainer .

Someone called this post weeks ago, dont remember who it was, but I didn't expect it Arkansas week. At least tomorrow I can focus on my ****** fantasy teams.
