I wish I could argue against this. But I can’t. I had hoped that Rhule would fix this. But he can’t.They also develop players 500x the rate of Nebraska, so if you’re a NE HS kid, your best chances of going to the next level (NFL) is by going out of state (NDSU, SDSU, Iowa, Iowa St, etc).
Rhule is not a developer...he is a talker.I wish I could argue against this. But I can’t. I had hoped that Rhule would fix this. But he can’t.
I'm not sad. I love my coach and my team. How about you?I’m jealous for sure. How sad are you that even with that prestigious award you couldn’t crack into the playoffs. At least your starting QB for 2026 got some game experience against the National Champ - looked good too, so should be an excited bunch with high hopes this next year.
Which coach and team? Because you said you have two favorites.I'm not sad. I love my coach and my team. How about you?
You said NU was your second favorite team and you post here...now you want to NOT participate?Do most of you guys just ignore the weird Tranny?
At least the Iowa QB’s won’t be getting routinely sacked like Raiola did behind Nebraska’s pourous offensive line.Come back when you make the playoffs. Should be this year - QB’s are studs!
He’s a lover, not a fighter.Rhule is not a developer...he is a talker.
He's not passing. He's catching! Why did you admit NU was your second favorite team?
And if you are "passing" why are you replying to me?
They very recently got a commitment from another out of Nebraska...pretty sure Nebraska will regret this one.We might be well served to throw the bank at guys NDSU is offering. Appears their high school evaluations are better than ours.
I love my team for sure. That’s why I’m here. Why do come to the husker board - do you love us too.I'm not sad. I love my coach and my team. How about you?
No disputing that. Do you think they should be able to throw basic flat passes to win the game with such good protection? At least the Iowa QB’s won’t be getting routinely sacked like Raiola did behind Nebraska’s pourous offensive line.

you should probably mentally prepare for more of these post game interactions …
And before you say it… yes he will be horrible next year but will likely throw for 350 and 4 TD’s and rush for another 75 against us.
If it’s one thing Iowa is known for it’s QB play. Our starting QB is going to be Hecklinski. He's going to be good.
Husker player analysis is worth slightly less than a pile of dog crap so no need to project.
You're making the point for him. This is exactly the type of kid Coach Osborne brought to Lincoln, turned over to Boyd Epley for three years, and turned into an NFL player. He looked at frames, potential, and then DEVELOPED them. There's that word again.Ah, yes. Staff should've known the #13 rated player in Nebraska was going to be so good.
Other school that offered Pieper... North Dakota St. That's it.

Dean Steinkuhler, Aaron Taylor, Neil Smith and many others had few offers and certainly nothing from any "blue blood." All of them became dominant linemen and played professionally (Taylor's career was short, but the other two were stallions). Gee, even a guy like Tom Welter became a great player for us.
Rhule says he won't recruit in-state kids unless they can beat Ohio State or make the playoffs (I can't find the exact quote). Not many kids will be in that category as true freshmen, and the ones that are won't be coming to Nebraska. That's why we need to develop kids who have that potential.
I'm certainly no Iowa fan, but I admire that they know who they are. They won't out-recruit Texas or Georgia, so they go get those kids with the frames that can be developed. They are tough and physical in both lines and make us look like pussies.
Hasn't been great. I want an OC that has been a successful oline coach.I blame Dana more for our problems on offense.
Bryce Vigness, Papillion-La Vista, Offensive LineThey very recently got a commitment from another out of Nebraska...pretty sure Nebraska will regret this one.

Right, he's talking about being the first to offer or not. Here's this doofus's quote:
“The whole thing like, hey, you should be the first offer at Nebraska? You know, desperate teams always set the market. Let me say that one more time. In rev share and all this, desperate teams set the market,” Rhule stated. “If they know that, hey, straight up, we can’t beat a Big Ten team or we can’t beat Nebraska, then we better offer them a year earlier and say Nebraska doesn’t care about you. We care about you. We just, um – we’ve got to make sure that you’re, you’re going to help us beat Ohio State.”
