I agree; however, even that is just a subset of a larger group. Mississippi's universitites, as a whole, are a stepping stone to professional success at other destinations.

This is also the challenge for Mississippi as a state -- it is a layover stop to more desirable destinations and the opportunities that emerge from them.

Let me also add that my comments taste butter coming from my mouth, as I love Mississippi. But I won't run from or deny the reality that has been an ongoing problem for decades.
