Willis strikes me as someone that's very streaky.

He's 80 for 200 in his UK career........that's 40%. That's good. But he went from 44% last season to 36%. When Briscoe is shooting better from 3 than Willis is, there's something wrong.

Shooting % is subject to the most season-to-season variance out of all box score stats. For Willis specifically there could be numerous reasons.

Per 40, he's taking almost 2 less three's. That could be two more open looks he is missing out on. Also, playing with Ulis is likely much different than playing with Fox. Perhaps he was able to get better looks more often just in how Ulis ran the team.

It may just be randomness too. He has taken just 59 threes this season. That's a rather small sample size.

Well something happened last night that didn't happen all year. Our Offense sucked Butt! We've put up points on everyone this year except UT. Yeah people keep saying our defense sucks, it's true but we've had a fantastic Offense. Not last night. I thought I was watching a Billy G coached scrub team last night. It killed my positive vibe for the team and the rest of the season. I know for certain Fox was not 100%. He wasn't getting to the goal at will and Monk wasn't hitting then forced stuff outside offensive flow of the game. We were not passing and sharing the ball unselfishly like we were earlier this year. It was a nightmare I want to forget and hope for a better showing Saturday.

I agree with the Tennessee Fan that said we will be fine with Monk and Fox and Bam underneath. I can't believe our fans don't realize that the UT game has always been the toughest game playing in Tennessee. We are now 16-14 at Thompson–Boling Arena and we lost there last year. Coach Cal in his 8 years is 3-4 playing at Tennessee. We have always had tough games at Tennessee even before Coach Cal started coaching at UK. We have to play better defense before March Madness and we need to get it into BAM at least 15-20 times a game. Last night BAM was 7/8 from the field and shot well at FT Line 7/8 for 21 points. Coach Cal has tried getting this through the players to get it to BAM more inside and this will lead to easy scoring either inside for BAM or through it back out to Monk for a 3 point shot that will be open. We have to remember through the season with Towns and how over the season we were getting the ball inside more and more and the Notre Dame game to get to the Final Four when Towns took over and everything was coming inside to Towns and that is how we got to the Final Four that year. We have to get back to that and get it inside to BAM more and that will open everything up from the inside and outside. Last night BAM had 6'5 players on him at times and BAM is 6'10 and we saw he was 7/8 from the field and 7/8 from the line. If we get the ball to him 15-20 times BAM will easily score 25-30 points as well as the guards putting up numbers when BAM comes back outside to the guards for the open shot or 3 point shot.

It wasn't any one particular thing that cost us this game, it was a combination of many things. A lot of mental mistakes and just poor play added up to a loss that shouldn't have occurred.

Yes,there were several things we should not be doing at this time of year against a team like that,it was much more about what we did or didn't do than anything they did

After briscoe banked in an uncontested meaningless three pointer at the end. Haven't seen a box score but wouldn't be surprised if briscoe played all 40 minutes. While he got a lot of rebounds that is not what you need from his position on the floor. He gave us nothing offensively for most of the night, played no better defensively than anyone else and never left the floor. When he is playing well he is a great asset to the team, he hasn't played well of late, didn't play well last night and possibly played the whole damn game meaning we are constantly playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end.

Well the 4 spot let us down too. There is a basket of reasons why we lost that game and for sure, we don't like any of them.

most unsatisfying 3 points I've seen us score in ages.

During the unforgetables time, we were at Miss State with like 7 seconds to go and down 3. Sean Woods got the ball and drove right to the hoop and made it with no time left on the clock, we lost by one and the look on his face was unforgetable, it was like oh no what did I do?
