Our D started out taking terrible angles but as the game has gone on that seems to be improving and I haven't been that upset with the D.
Our offense, though, I don't even know what's going on. I think it's mostly the OL? We just don't seem to be getting any push against an inferior opponent and that is worrisome. We seemed intent on running it up the middle even though we seem to be doing better running outside. I don't know if we're protecting AM or what, but we really haven't used his mobility much on designed plays. Hes scrambled a few times and done well but nothing that seemed to be intentional.
At the risk of riling up the Farniok Posse, I'll be so happy when we no longer have to watch him fake-block someone for half a count and then starting moping to where the huddle will be.I appreciate Frost letting the backup OL play but I would like to see what our starters look like
Plenty of examples of bad first half’s for teams that turned out pretty well. You guys will be fine.
Dave Remington- I mean the Beatrice Ne Redshirt Freshman who is starting for a top 25 team, is throwing the offense off with his horrible snaps.
I hope so.It looks like we are adjusting the game plan on the fly. I have a feeling Frost wanted to lean on Mills heavily this half and that wasn’t working at all. But it’s game one and only one half. Huskers last year always played good the 2nd half of the games. With Washington our there now, I bet we see a different team the second half. GBR
Don’t overlook the Beth Mowins curse. It’s a real thing.Iowa guy comin in for support. Props man, Colorado fans will always be worse. I do think we come out looking better in the second half. GBR!

Beth does not know the horse collar rule.Don’t overlook the Beth Mowins curse. It’s a real thing.
I'm not gonna say the sky is falling because it's only game 1 against a horrible team. But the whole top 25 challenging for the west this year I'm sad to say was a premature. The hype balloon has officially burst.
Oh for the love...... it’s the first half of the first game. Not many teams look great in the first game. Many times I have seen Iowa struggle in the first game but go on to have a fine season.
Nebraska will be fine and will be competing for the west.
I've seen that a lot the last few years. It's like they're satisfied getting in front of someone and touching them for a half second is considered "blocking". I've seen very little of our Oline controlling the guy in front of him from start of the snap to finish of the play. That's what the offensive line is supposed to do.At the risk of riling up the Farniok Posse, I'll be so happy when we no longer have to watch him fake-block someone for half a count and then starting moping to where the huddle will be.
