the last 3 stories on cnn this morning have been...1 R Kelly assaulting under age girls (in chicago no less)....2. Robert Kraft getting busted in a Florida strip mall....and 3. the catholic church destroying records of priests abusing young boys........no mention of repubs or dems here cause it doesn't matter....what is wrong with us?

I think all are the case of people thinking that they are too important to need to worry about the law. Individuals I can understand a little better, although I'm not excusing the behavior. Institutional stuff, especially from a church, scares the daylights out of me. That's a collective decision from a group that is supposed to carry the flag of morality.
Because churches carry such a revered place in society they can offer either a great amoubt of good or a great amount of bad. Bottom line is humans are inerently sinners and it takes effort and discipline to do good
We know about it, but we're indifferent. Look at the relative "so what else is new" reaction to open discussion of killing unwanted late term babies or even newborns? They actually cheered it New York and lit up the Freedom tower in celebration!

The lack of respect for the innocence of Children (both unborn and born) is simultaneously depressing and angering to me. Teachers, Clergy, entertainers, Government officials...seems no matter who they are it's open season for either the sexual exploitation and/or destruction of innocent little ones & the young.
So sad.
I asked in a post the other day what happens to 'em when Mueller doesn't find any "collusion"? Don't forget how much they have invested the past two years in that scam bringing Trump down.
Matter of fact, next month we could see a new arms agreement with N. Korea, a new trade agreement with China, AND Mueller exonerating Trump of all "collusion" speculation with Russians one right after the other!

Years ago I was on a grand jury in Maryland. One case was about an older guy who was assaulting kids in his townhouse community. While they were still working up the charges, they arrested the guy. I remember the officer involved was asked why they tool the guy in before they dropped charges on him. He said they did it for his protection from the parents.
