Not a matter of being an offensive genius or not, State's recruiting profile is not a fit for an air raid offense. Leach has a history as a head coach turning lemons into lemonade but my concern is that it is too late in his career to turn around another program, hopefully I'm wrong.

In my opinion

we're just too deficient at the QB position. Will is doing all he can but he shouldn't be having to carry the team this early in his career. This offense puts so much pressure on precision passing it's not nearly the optimal situation with this roster. Behind Will is an obviously talented true freshman and Chance Lovertich.

Geez.....I could coach WSU to a 6 and 7 record in my sleep. And this antiquated offense, I mean really. Its not Air Raid principles are used thru out the NFL. They had on leather helmets back at Kentucky when they invented it

I didn't say we should've hired some elite coach. Don't put words in my mouth. But we should've been able to hire someone besides a guy who doesn't give a damn and is still running the same offense he ran 25 years ago with zero adjustments in those 25 years. It should've been a red flag to everyone when the U Washington DC was telling the media they knew exactly what Leach's offense was gonna do and Leach never adjusted or tried anything different to make Washington's D adjust. There's a reason no other SEC school ever gave Leach a serious look. But as per usual, we were the ones dumb enough to not only give him a serious look but actually hire him.

He was a good coach once upon a time. Hell, he might still be a good coach. But this offense not only wasn't going to work in the SEC, it wasn't going to work here specifically. It's just not a fit for our recruiting footprint. We can't get the top quality WRs, pass blocking OL, or statue, I mean pocket passing, QBs Leach needs for this offense to work.
