This Saturday. After listening to their post game tonight and whoever those two clowns are I was a bit irked. One of them said something along the lines of,I don't care about the Nebraska, Minnesota game, after they brought up the Nebraska score not more than a minute before. He then went on to say something along the lines of, we will boat race them because that's what just happens. Then he went on to talk about this is the year they take over the series lead for good. Please for the love of all that is good Miles would you please beat Doug's dad this year.

I assume you are talking about the 2 clowns that do a studio show after their games are over, and not the post game broadcast from within the arena? They are homers, so what do you expect?

They might not care about the score of Minnesota game, but I’d bet that score got the CU players and coaches full attention.

The pick and pop is Miles' kryptonite. He is powerless against it.

I suppose they are less than impressed that we have beaten them like 5 times in 20 years. I'm not sure why NU thinks they can ever beat anyone in BB on a regular basis.

Play zone. Hope the jays miss shots.

The games that I have watched this year, if neb gets a lead, the jays like to just start launching more from outside. Sometimes they don’t even have a single person inside the 3pt line which puts them at a serious disadvantage when it comes to rebounding

Oh I don't know. Maybe because if you think it's impossible, but should be done easily in football... it doesn't make any sense?

Why teams STILL don't zone CU is beyond me...Baylor does it to them and abuses the Jays. I know they have some long players but still...

With that said, I don't know why zone is something that all teams do.

Crayton got thumped 91-79 by Minnesota in a preseason closed door scrimmage in mid October.. Nebraska beats Minny by 10 pts. Huskers roll Creighton.

Agree with this. I know people will say that if you have athletic players who can defend, what difference does it make if you play zone or man? But for me it comes down to the fact that college basketball teams are now so dependent on screens to do anything - that when most teams are confronted with a zone, they don't know what to do.

Good example: I know Bill Walton is a blowhard, and I can't listen to him for a full two hours. But I love it when someone sets a screen for their point guard just after he crosses half court and Walton squeals, "Since when does a guard need a screen to get around his man 40 feet from the basket??? Puleeeeeze!"

Every Creighton homer should expect to win this game. It's never been competitive since Miles took over.

The Huskers do however have a distinct size advantage this season. Maybe that keeps the deficit to single digits this year.

I really like both Teams. I know that's not allowed but as a J's fan, Husker size scares me for the Jays but has me excited for NU

UCLA went to zone against the J's after CU took a big lead it and it allowed UCLA to crawl back at the end of the 1st half. However, Mcdermott made some adjustments and they were able to handle it in the 2nd half. I think if this game were in Lincoln, then I'd pick NU. Since it's in Omaha, I think the Jays take it.

I hope that last night was "more of things to come" for NU and not just a fluke.

If the game was in Lincoln I'd be more optimistic that and the games haven't even been competitive the last 3or4 years..

Be very important not to let Creighton get off to a fast start and be close at halftime.

Creighton has a good basketball program, with a history of tournament appearances and great coaches. Nebraska is a football school where basketball is an afterthought.

If you get tired of Craydon fans being dicks, which they excel at, remind them that they're paying an annual cost of attendance of $53,452 for the 190th best university in the country. Had they been smarter, for that kind of scratch they could have gone to a real school. The campus has about as much charm as a downtown unemployment office. No one but the most sheltered little pricks still need to hide under the protection of a church school, but they do so because they're parents believe they are too stupid to be out in the world left to their own devices. That's why their fans don't know how to behave...because they're still children.

You know you suck against your rival when you have to bring up those kinds of stats, about cost of attendance and where that education ranks.

I don't blame parents for wanting to send their kids to a school that will uphold their beliefs as Truth.

I can't speak on the fans, I've never been to a Crieghton/NU game. Are they really that bad?

" No one but the most sheltered little pricks still need to hide under the protection of a church school"

That seems like an open minded statement about Catholics from a Catholic, doesn't it? No, it seems like a bigoted statement from a chump who never got a degree from anywhere. Really, what does the fact that it is a Jesuit university have to do with a basketball game? What does the cost of their tuition have to do with a basketball game? You just sound like an idiot, one of which I don't want to be associated with.

How does anyone from U Nebraska criticize the academic standards of Creighton or the beauty of the campus? Nebraska does not rate particularly high in either category.

I'll be there wearing red fully expecting us to get boat raced like we do every year. But I think we match up okay, we seem to have some semblence of an offense at times, and we rebound better than we have in years past. Who knows but I'm expecting it to be about 95-75 CU when it's all said and done.

Two degrees, including an MBA in 1998. You just seem like you're trying to find a reason to be angry. I'd suggest a soft stress ball to squeeze.

I had Husker basketball season tickets for eight years, while I was staff at UNL. Having also bought football tickets, donated to the Husker Power club, etc. I went for the upper bleacher seats. Right where all the Craydon douches sat for games. Worst fans outside of Philly to deal with. Bunch of obnoxious, bratty little babies who were doing everything they could to make everyone around them miserable. I don't mean cheering proudly for their team, which I have dealt with countless times at both home and away football and basketball games. I'm talking about being obnoxious to intentionally ruin the event for everyone else. I'm not alone in experiencing this special brand of fan.

But don't tell this to Louis, because it'll get his blue and white panties in a wad. And we wouldn't want to upset him, because he tends to lash out. Plus, he only finished the fourth grade, so he's fixated on those with college degrees.

The irony here is that these terrible Creighton fans you describe are also Nebraska fans in the fall.

Less than 24 hours from tip-off. I truly think this is Nebraska’s best chance to win in Omaha in awhile, but that’s still a tall task.

With the roster this year, the Jays I don’t think can clog the lane as much as in the past, because they will have to respect Palmer and Copeland a lot more than they respected Morrow and Jacobsen last year. Gill and Taylor seem to be hitting from the outside better. I don’t see McVeigh playing nearly the minutes he played against them last year. If Jordy can stay out of foul trouble and demand a double team guys could be more open they’ve been in a long time.

I’d bet Thomas guards Watson. Thomas is an elite defender. This is IMO where the game comes down to. If Nebraska needs Watson to 29 tomorrow to win, Nebraska is in trouble, jmho. If Thomas can frustrate Watson, it could be bad. Plus Devries always comes up with a great defensive plan against Nebraska, but again, this will be his biggest challenge in the past few years.

I worry about who is going to guard Foster, especially if Miles refuses to throw a zone at them, and you can’t sleep on Thomas when CU is on offense. Watson is the best on ball defender Nebraska has, so he has to stay out of trouble.

I’m not sure I trust Nebraska on the road, and as I said before, I’m pretty sure the MN win got CUs attention and they will be dialed in.

The opening minutes will be crucial. If Nebraska can handle the environment early and prove they can move the ball, get decent shots and make some, I think they have a chance. I’m anxious to see it.

Well NebBall has been a doormat program for years and CU is a top thirty program so it's really not arrogant!! Maybe you need a Frostivous for your BBall team. 100 plus years and never a tourney win. That's gotta be pretty Frosty.

Hope it's a competitive game.. I hate this game more than any all season long.. Don't like seeing either team lose

Dante has a comfortable place in his 9th ring reserved especially for Creighton fans.

Creighton played well in the first half against Baylor and Gonzaga. The question is how do each make it a 40 minute game.

Can Creighton keep playing inside-out game. Rely only on a parameter game for the most part isn't often going to sustain victories for the Jays.

Roll Jays!
