Indiana is favored when nothing matters. And that's reason to question everything. Maybe this is why Hollywood makes money. The story is in chapter two getting everyone hooked (happy or in this case upset), only to floor the audience in chapter five. Meh, I know what's coming like most movies. I'll continue to sneak in my snacks and ice cold bottled soda instead of having anxiety over the preview and how much the large popcorn and Pepsi cost.

Damn it. You made me scratch my head with this post.

I’ll probably just read the book.

I don't know what the paragraph said. So I just replied to your title. Yes we do, well we have a fragile msg board twitter fan base at least. Would bet 95% of the fan base is still rock solid on Frost and understands he needs time.

There are nutty and dumb people on the Internet. That might be breaking news to some. On 247 there is a nimrod tody that was trying to argue that Woodyard is a starting WR. There are people that dumb. That same poster has low football IQ (nustudent).

Frost will be fine. We may only make it to 6 or 7 wins this year, but that is still a lot of growth over last season and we will only continue to grow as a program. Eventually we will be hosting a Big Ten title trophy with Frost as the head coach.

You can mark this down and repost it in the future - Frost will win a Big Ten title before Paul Chryst does.

you are dead on brotha. And if it’s not 95% then it’s at least 90% of our Husker fan base. My guess is that we (the fans) want our Huskers to start winning again and just tired of the BS already. That it causes some of us to speak or post without truly stopping and thinking about things clearly. And Like some, I hoped Scott Frost could teach and coach our upperclassmen and the current players he inherited into winners but seeing how this season has went (at least so far), it’s obvious we are in for a total rebuild. This is going to take time (at least till his first recruiting class comes along and is ready). I’m whiling to bet we see some good football in year 3 maybe 4 at the latest.

Fragile? We’re pretty United if you ask me. After 15 years of mediocrity we are still continuing the sell-out streak. We don’t take a backseat to anyone when it comes to loyalty. We are a bit hungover though from the preseason Kool-Aid..

We're no different than any other Power 5 football fanbase. In many respects, we're more reasonable.

Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida State, UCLA, and Mississippi State all have a lot of fans calling for their coaches to be fired after 1.5 years. I haven't seen any Nebraska fans calling to fire Frost yet.

the way you put that “We are a bit hungover though from the preseason Kool-Aid” that’s probably more accurate then some of us realize. At the end of the day, we all knew the mess Riley had us in and knew it wouldn’t be a fast fix. This was always going to take time...regardless who we brought in as a Head Coach.

Yes it is very fragile. Of course it depends on how you define it. But when I read posts crying about trivialities like start time, uniform color, announcing crew, etc etc I kind of agree

Fragile fan bases don’t repeatedly sellout 90k seat theaters to view the football equivalent of Caddyshack 2.

I get it.. all the preseason hype was like a movie to get everyone hooked and then chapter 5 (or game 5) was the Ohio State blowout.. so the story has to have some sort of redemption to it, or resolution to the plot in the end. I'm not sure this is some riveting movie I am going to want to sit through though. Are we really on the edge of our seats kind of situation? Maybe you're right and there is some sort of happy ending in the 3rd act, but I'm guessing you're just hammered and drew some sort of parallel here.

Yea, and some are still blaming Solich as well. What happened to the great 2nd year explosion that was supposed to happen this year just because it happened one time in the past? It will always be something. I am not a Riley apologist but enough of the blame game, own the program and its results. So if I follow the logic of all of this, then Riley gets off the hook by blaming Bo and since he didn't get "his players" in four years, he isn't responsible.

The fanbase still cares deeply, and I don't see that changing. Cornhusker football is a big part of the State of Nebraska's identity. Just wish our football program could more clearly establish it's identity.

For whatever reason it appears the upper class men are just too tainted from the MR era. Don't know if it is all mental, don't know if it is worth ethic, don't know if they are just to far behind in development, or if Frost is trying to fit round pegs into square holes. Not sure. Yes I agree, we won't know really what we have in Frost until most if not all the starters are Frosts guys.

Looking from the outside at your team and program. First I think Nebraska made a great hire. It is obvious Frost needs to upgrade the roster. It will take time to attract the kind of talent to compete with teams like Ohio st. Husker fans are smart fans they know what their coach is up against. It will take a little time for coach to right the ship..

If Chapter 5 doesn't come until season 5, the production company footing the bill for this picture is going to be pissed.

Wouldn’t say that most of us are living in the past. I’m happy with Frost and the rebuild. Just tired of getting pushed around by average programs and destroyed by good ones. Would be nice to turn the corner after decades of garbage football, terrible coaching staffs and idiot AD’s. I can see the light I just wish it would shine bright once and awhile on Saturday.

Moos said this when he fired Riley. We are still fragile. A couple more losing seasons and you will see that fake sell out streak not able to be faked anymore.

Thank you for acknowledging our successful past. I'm sure it causes you a great deal of duress to do so.

Having that successful past gives our coach, who has experienced that success of winning a national championship, a benchmark to shoot for. We're in year 2 and have won the same amount of games as all of last year, with 5 games left. So there is progress.

We have 2 RS freshmen starting in our interior OLine, which gives you an indication of where our depth is right now. However, we have some highly talented young players on campus that will continue to build up our talent and depth. We will be OK in the long run and will be in the hunt for the West title in due course.

How 'bout you do us a favor though.. The next time you want to post Manifesto Stupidio on this site, how about throwing us a bone and tossing in a comma and period from time to time? My apologies if this was stream of consciousness.

I’m not sure there’s much of anything Frost could do with our current upperclassmen. If we still had Mike Riley here we’d be in a world of hurt right now. A true pocket passer would get eaten a live all game long the whole season. We literally have to suck it up till Frosts recruiting classes become of age. Once Benhart and that Oline we recruited starts playing, then we should start seeing things come together.

but we are bad at every phase of the game. We are not physical and at this point are worse than last year. We got pushed around all game long at Minnesota and by Ohio State. Look at what K-state is doing right now to the 5th ranked team in the nation. I think there is a big problem with our coaching staff. K-State does not have better players than Nebraska.

there isn’t a f_cking thing wrong with our Coaching Staff. I’ll disagree with that all day long. They inherited an absolute mess and an absolute train wreck. KSUcks wasn’t in the same mess like we where. Bill Snyder was getting decent to good players for years now. Then he just stepped down and KSUcks AD found a Head Coach that matches their current system well. They didn’t have much to change or fix. We do.
