Not at all. I think a huge portion of the top guys require some kind of payment, and Zion could absolutely command whatever he wanted.
My point is that if we believe all of these other schools are paying for elite recruits, no questions asked, it's naive to believe anyone is 100% clean, especially when we're still the second best recruiting school in the country.
So for the same reason it's hard to believe Zion went to Duke for free, it's hard to believe a kid chooses Kentucky over all of these elite, blueblood schools that are handing out hundreds of thousands of dollars. We can't have it both ways.
Which is why I think recruiting is a lot more complicated than schools that pay and schools that don't. Book Richardson was apparently paying kids out of his own pocket. I don't think that's happening everywhere. I actually dont think it's happening at Duke.
