Who cares. Golden State choked up 3-1. It happens everywhere, all the time but to read this forum you’d think UK is supposed to go 400-0 over a ten year span and win all 400 by 30+.

Well, Knox did have that stupid comment about wanting Weber to play so there wouldn't be any excuses.
Wade, not Weber. And the difference in the game was guard play, we didn't have a true point, and the kstate guards exploited that and really bogged us down offensively.

Wrong. No one thinks that. What we do think is we're paying a coach 8 million a year who should be beating also ran teams like Kansas State. And anyone with a brain has to agree with that.

Agreed, we shouldn’t look like the team that doesn’t care whether it wins or loses. You got to know coming in with the media saying it’s your bracket to lose that the team you play is feeling disrespected and will come out swinging. You can’t play lax for the first 10 minutes of the game on defense and settle for a bunch of long 2 pointers.

Listened to the radio people all week. The only chance K-State has was to slow the pace, force turnovers, make us settle for bad shots on offense, and make a few threes. We let them do all 4 of those things with flying colors. If the radio hacks, me, and everyone else knew that was the key to losing then our team should have done better.

Also SGA turned back into January SGA on that drive with 18 seconds to go. WTH, you get to the dang basket and instead of going strong you throw a weak over the shoulder pass to the top of the key??? I was absolutely dumbfounded when he did that.

I said back during the season that it didn't matter how this season finished up I think Cal needs to really look himself in the mirror and make some adjustments or how we are right now (post '15) will basically be where we're at as a program. Good, not great. R32, EE, and S16 the past three years isn't anything to scoff at and esp considering how young UK was this year, no one should of entertained the idea UK was going to win the title. So how this season finished should be okay. Gifted a FF makes this loss bad.

But UK isn't paying Cal to be good. They are paying him to be great. The fans demand it. That's why there hasn't been a lot of down times in UK's history. So if we're going to return to what we were '10-'15, Cal has to adapt and adjust. Weber pegged this team pretty well during the week and it looked like UK didn't. Weber got his team to be physical with Knox and he wilted. He clogged the lane to keep Shai out. We never adjusted. He used Quade's height as a disadvantage. Cal spent all week harping about not drinking the poison and instead of drinking the poison, it was injected like a snake bite from the opening tip. Weber was the mad scientist. Cal needs to find the magic again. It starts with being honest with this roster and keeping them in Lexington. It starts with making hard decisions about the staff and friendships. It starts with fewer targets on your back because lord knows, UK has enough.

You clearly don’t understand how sports works. Ask any coach of any team. Hell ask coach K how he’s had so many baffling tournament losses....with veteran teams. You’re clueless.

RR loves to poke fun at other coaches and universities that choke. Going forward, when we talk crap, get ready for their fans to use this loss to get back at us. Have fun defending us!

He’s absolutely right. Doesn’t matter what YOU think, Cal isn’t being paid 8 million to lose to Fckn Kansas State. We could pay anyone to do that

2 of last 3 years Cal has lost to lower seed early in the tournament.

If that was Duke or KU or UL losing last night we would be ALL over them for how pathetic they are and how big a choke job it was, etc... UK and Cal shouldn't be exempt from it.

I thought it was a pathetic game as well.

Cal's salary is a wuss bucket, lazy excuse.

All you can do with his salary is compare his success to others getting that kind of cash and he does very well in comparison.

Lots of reasons to be down on Cal today, salary isnt one of them.

Then what the hell was it when UNC got demolished by Texas A&M ? Or when Puke got upset by Mercer and Lehigh ? Or when Kansas lost to Bucknell ? Or when Kansas lost to the Northern Iowa ? That article isn't wrong but these guys or anybody acting like upsets like this or even worse than this haven't happened to other blue blood programs is a joke. That was nothing more than a "kick em while they're down" article.

Clueless. If there was a list of teams you could never lose to based on salary no coach would have a job. People like you don’t deserve the fun times Cal has brought you.

Here is Calipari's priority as the Kentucky head basketball coach, in his own words:

"I don't know yet until I sit down with all the guys, sit down and talk and see where they are with things and where their families are."

A fine and noble consideration. But I would prefer the program's goals were a little more focused on hanging banners and a little less on NBA contracts for his players. Calipari is supposed to be a basketball coach. Not a social services worker.

Nope, you’re wrong. This is a business, UK and Cal for that matter couldn’t give a **** about my “ Fun times “ . That’s why coaches get fired, for not winning games. They don’t get fired for not supplying enough “ fun times”

On a stage like this with nothing but freshmen and unproven sophomores that is what you get....a bundle of nerves in a tight game. If we don't stop having major turnover every year and get some experience on the roster we will be in for these type seasons every year I am afraid.

Didn’t played scared at all. Give Bruce Weber credit where credit is due. Excellent defensive game plan and his players executed it to perfection.
Seriously? We were visibly shook from the get go.

Luckily only a buffoon would fire Cal. You poor baby. Your nightly entertainment was ruined and it’s all Cal’s fault. Wahhhh.

I will give his team credit for winning the game, but I don't think his strategy had as much to do with it, as did our lack of free throw shooting and our ability to get the right free throw shooters to the line. I think that might have been somebody else's plan! If we hit a decent percentage of our free throws down the stretch, no one would be talking about Bruce Weber's game plan!

Hopefully Cal can get all five starters to come back next year--with all that talent, he can make the final 4.

And there it is! I proved your BS take was wrong and you immediately went to insults. I never said I wanted anyone fired. I said coaches get fired for not winning. And I’m right.

We're pretty easy to defend, deny Knox and don't let Shai drive. Another 3 or PJ shooting his average from the free throw line. We got nothing from our bigs or Hami and that really had nothing to do with Weber's game plan, that's just them.

My real issue with all this is with this bunch if they were coming back like they should it would not hurt as bad nor be as frustrating. Hey we are sold a bill of goods that they are only here for one year. So when you ring up 11 losses and start ringing up double digit losses then as the consumer or fan in this instance is going to be Disgruntled. We are as fans given One Year with a group and when they lose to an inferior product then questions need to be answered. If we were given more than one year I think most fans would not be so upset.

I’ve been a fan for 50 years and never would I just tune out but I started that last year and pretty much this year. Then I came back in late in season and tourney just to have a repeat of the way this has been trending.

Why we can’t keep players here when other top programs can is very frustrating at least for me. I could give s crap about the NBA. I’m a fan of the University of Kentucky.

You are just guessing that they all will leave and getting upset over something that hasn't happened...

Why do you guys do this?

Yes that’s been the pattern I’m probably not too far off either.

You don’t have to read nor like anything I post and really don’t give. Damn. You though seem to think only your opinion is right I have discovered that with you

And what makes you think this group will buck the trend?

And why do other programs have kids return that are of same quality?

Our pace was to slow, walking the ball up the court, that's what KS wanted, needed to play faster pace, take them out of there rytume, make them uncomfortable, even after they missed, we rebounded, still walked it up

I did notice Shai in the jump circle to begin the game looked very different from in the past. I ran it back twice and wondered what the hell is going on with him. He looked very scared.

Dont be so whiny, i just asked you a question.

What is the pattern for freshmen leaving?

And Im not stating any opinions, I have just stated facts when it comes to the freshmen.

But please answer the question, what is this pattern for freshmen leaving?
