Not super concerned just yet. We took LSU’s best shot yesterday and faced Vandy’s top line guys tonight. I just can’t imagine that Mangum and Westburg will both be useless the rest of the year. You’d think that MacNamee coming back might help too. That’s three major pieces that we are getting little to nothing from right now. Just one of them getting back going will make a big difference. And we won’t see this kind of arm talent again until the Super or Omaha.
That said, we’re facing a depleted pitching staff tomorrow. If we still struggle to score tomorrow, then my concern level is a little higher.

Ha! According to the majority on this board there is no such thing!
I do think we will be fine, but the responses on this board were ridiculous considering every coach, every player, and every announcer talk about being hot at the right time. For example....last years team. Rather it be this week than next....

It's crazy how we seem to get worse against great teams and great pitching**
I mean, we lost 1-0 to another top 5 team. It was a good game, they made a lot of plays, as they should.

Usually hitting improves as the season goes along.... I suspect we will spend a lot of time in batting cage this week....

So one bad game at the plate against Vandys Ace and we are all of a sudden in a slump as team? That’s not how baseball works, you guys.

After the 3rd inning against LSU we are hitting about .185 facing 7 different guys. They all have plus stuff. Eric Walker does not.
Its hard not get a little concerned because stats aside, these ABs look awful
And im still haunted by 2016 when the bats disappeared at the wrong time

They actually booted a ball or two and made a bad throw that at least got us some baserunners into scoring position but we could never get a hit to take advantage.
