What a game. We were not perfect but Michigan State is a Final Four team and is number 3 in the country and we took them to the wire on their home floor.

We are no where near our potential. I have been trying to pump the breaks but now I can't. We are a final four caliber team. That's all there is to it.

Keep in mind that MSU is out with (likely) their starting junior center. An athletic 6'9" 235 lb'er who put up good numbers against pros over the summer in Italy. The return of Schilling will help their team considerably. Right now Izzo is forced to play a couple of walk-ons in the frontcourt. I'm a little surprised they've been playing as well as they have been considering.

Still though, this Louisville team is legit and has an equally high ceiling if they continue to develop which I'm sure they will considering the coach in charge.

Keep in mind also that Louisville is without it's starting small forward, Deng Adel, who is also probably their best perimeter defender...would have come in handy tonight.

It was nice to see the Cards compete at a high level on the road against a legitimate Final Four team.

Make a few more easy ones and a few less mental mistakes on D and this would have been another tick in the win column.

Would have went a long way to get this one tonight as far as seeding for the tourney.... Learned a lot about the Cards tonight though that's for sure.
