We are consumers of a product. We certainly should have a say in the product. Wihout us, there is no product (or at the very least the product does not continue as it is currently configured). Not sure why that seems to confuse some people.

Unfortunately, the Tennessee fanbase has clout. We do not. It's over.

NJ. The drama queen state

It's not NJ, its more that many Rutgers fans don't seem to know how to handle being a fan or are just plain soft. . There's a motto with many teams at all levels...."next man up". To me, this entire scenario equates to that. Ash didn't work here and a Schiano deal fell through.......next man up. Learn from the past instead of crying about it. Keep moving forward instead of continually complaining about how bad things are and how football is over for eternity at RU because Schiano did not work out.

Agreed. I always thought being a Rutgers fan was hard. Now I realize it’s full of soft batches. Some of these dudes are crying I am sure.

One thing people in NJ understand is money talks. Hobbs better get on the phone with the big donors and hope they don’t redshirt their pledges.

OP is missing the entire point. This is NOT about the failure of hiring GS. This is about RU getting the fans, players and national and local media all on board and excited about a Schiano return to RU. They cultivated and promoted that concept over the last three weeks and so now when it falls apart, what more can you expect than the debacle that has ensued. If instead RU had hired someone like Hafley three weeks ago, this wouldn't have been nearly as bad. So sorry OP, it is RU and not the fanbase, players and media that needs to grow up!

Give me a break. It's been a little less 24 hours. How do people expect silence? Stay off the internet if it bothers you.
I have no idea your point. I was responding to person saying we shouldn’t voice our displease. I disagreed; we should. Remaining silent is accepting.

When people are tweeting at college kids that they should leave the program we are creating a worse situation.
I don’t go on twitter so no idea what people are doing. Yes you are right, shouldn’t be tweeting at players. My point is if you don’t like the decision speak up to people making the decisions.

Always happy to see a Tivo fan making intelligent comments!

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.

Fire Hobbs. Hire Schiano.

It’s not about getting what we want, it about the university spitting in our faces after spending many hours and dollars supporting this program.

I was agreeing with you and speaking to that person saying that we should not voice our displeasure. This same person should stay off the internet if this bothers him or her.
