Exactly, we are one of the very few fan bases that actually cares about college baseball. What we have in baseball wouldn't exist without football. Football pays the bills.

The reality is that a 8-9 win football season means more to the university financially than a natty in baseball every time. Also means more to local businesses, real estate, etc. It is just reality and our AD is about to face that reality.

Be as big of a baseball fan as you want. But we have fans who seriously have the mindset of “football doesn’t matter because we are a baseball school” and that’s just incorrect on every level.

Oh I have never said football doesn't matter. But all of our sports matter, not just football because it pays the bills. I will confess though that over the many years I have been following State sports, I have become more of a baseball fan than anything else. And I am proud that we have one sport that we are competitive in almost every year.

If it wasn't for football then we basically wouldn't have any other sports so yes. If it wasn't for the money football brings in you wouldn't have been in Omaha with MSU.
