No more blaming Ray or Stansbury, no more injuries or suspensions to blame this on, no more “well shucks oh golly they’re trying their hardest”..... We just suck, and there are zero good excuses for it.

Why on earth would we blame Stansbury, some of his worst years were some of the best in program history?

Tells you what you should know right there when the blame is clearly on Strickland's decision process in hiring his replacement.

I agree 100%. And on top of the Rick Ray hire debacle, it’s becoming clear to me that Howland was just a PR, big name hire that Stricklin didn’t think twice about.

We are the worst basketball program in the entire SEC. Missouri was AWFUL last year and blew by us with a new coach and one recruiting class. Here were are on year 3 and we are still getting out played and outcoached nearly every game. If you are up 11 points at the half and lose by 8 that is on coaching. Period.

You do remember this is the first season he has had an entire team to practice and play with since he took over the **** show Ray had here, don't you?

If you think firing Howland right now is the answer, I just don't know what to say to you.

IF we look like this next season, then we can drop him. He coached the last two seasons with less than ten scholarship players. We have no seniors on this team and several first year players. Not to mention the SEC has the strongest group of teams in years.

If we fire him this season, no one will touch the job out there who is worth a ****.

It's going to be a rough ride this year. All we can hope for is something clicks with one or two players like Nick or Ado and we start winning these games we lose down the stretch.

I am not ready to say fire him this year, but lose to Vandy at home on Tuesday and I’ll be really close to that point.

I had no problem with the howland hire, but I think it's obvious what I was saying long ago is true (despite those calling names and claiming I didn't know what I was talking about). The mans strength isn't X's and O's, it's recruiting, and even that is failing us with each 4* that doesn't pan out. Some obviously have, but for weakness to continue year after year, that is coaching.

I know there was no reason for one to be there today at all, but I wonder what a bigger crowd might have done to influence the game.

Damn sure there won't be one the next game.

Stansbury was a slightly better version of Andy Kennedy. He won some great games and had some great seasons but for every great win he had two head scratching losses.

It was time to part ways with stans. We just had an idiot as an AD at the time. That’s what this all boils down to. I thank God every day that Strick wasn’t around to hire our football coach. He probably wouldn’t hired peter sirmon or Manny Diaz
