PG Minyon Moore announced she is heading to Oregon. She had been here SBW on a visit with the other two transfers that ended up signing with State. Looks like the 2019-20 team is now set, with Myah Taylor running point. And Oregon looks like the early favorite to win it all with everyone they have returning.

We are going to be elite again next year. As long as Vic is at the helm, I don't think we'll ever be anything less than very good and reloading. He's not just a great coach, he & his staff are really terrific at finding young ladies who fit his system and are willing to work hard to earn it. And he's a good human being. Genuine. The kind of coach you'd want your daughter to play for.

He also said that our team would be representing the US in the World University games this year and this would give us like 26 extra practices. That means that this team should come out of the gate hitting on all cylinders.

I hate that we lost her for so much of last season. She found another gear.

I expect big things from her next year.

I think Stanford is returning everyone too. There may be some bigtime Pac 10 battles this year.

Ionesco (SR this upcoming season) is the Oregon PG so Moore's decision to go there makes sense if she's a regular transfer that has to sit out for a season but doesn't make much sense if she's a grad transfer with one year left which I thought she was.

Coach Graves often plays two point guards. They lost a point guard off the current team and she will likely go into that starting spot. I predict she will play a key role on the team. They are loaded for this season. I wish M Moore the best. I hate we didn’t get her. However we will be fine. We will have some growing pains but this is on paper the most talented team he has fielded.

He may play 2 point guards but Moore will not be playing the PG role unless something changes. Ionescu had the ball in her hands and ran and controlled the offense everytime I saw Oregon play this past year.

I'm actually more excited that he got Sidney Cooks. We have:

AEH- 5 star, top 20
Jessika Carter- 5
Myah Taylor- 5
Rickea Jackson- 5, top 10
Cooks- 5, top 10 (has to sit a year)
Matharu- 5
Wiggins- 4
Promise Taylor- 4
Hemingway-Young- 4
Martinez- ?
Bibby- ?
Morris- top JUCO player

We're good. They'll be young next year and have some growing pains while trying to develop chemistry and get experience. But they'll challenge for a NC in 2-3 years.

Point guard play may be not up to Vic's standard next year. Our RFr looked frail whenever she went in for Jazz

Don't sleep on the freshmen points. I really like the games of both Young and Matharu. They might push Taylor.

Just difficult to expect a lot from a true FR at that position given how much Vick demands from them. Just think of the night and day difference between Holmes as FR-SO versus what she was in her JR year and especially her SR year.
