Solid win. Good to see them putting up a bunch of points.

Alabama State ain't UConn, but they are among the 2 or 3 best in the SWAC.

Massey Ratings had us 34th entering the season and predicted a 79-58 win, so they exceeded expectations. Just need to continue that back into the Top 25.

This team has little size, but 2 of the 50 National POY candidates and quite a few solid guards.

We'll see...

I could be wrong but I think we are gonna be pleased with our interim coach. I think he is gonna really push this team and is a real Xs and Os coach.

Our university just didn't feel the same last year. We need WBB back. It's become part of our school pride. They give me more hope than watching the men, that's for sure.

Get ahold of yourself man

I’d sell our entire WBB program for a meatball sub if it meant beating auburn this weekend.

We can have dual identities. It's not against the law. Let's pretend for once we don't have to sacrifice excellence in one sport to appease some indian spirits to allow us to excel in others.

2nd Quarter was 47-7. Almost doesn't seem possible. He's a great great coach. Full stop.

Do we care more about winning than being "woke" or supporting Marxists organizations? If not, I could not care less.

I agree. He doesn't have experience at this level of college bball but this is WBB and it's obvious he knows basketball. I think we'll have a good year and I hope it turns out he's a legit HC option

I wasn't taking a side. You just seemed confused

I appreciate your effort to clarify the point someone who deserves no help.

This thread is about the current state of MSU WBB. The opinion of a BS Artist who is apparently proud of his black listed background is worthless and not worthy of support.

If we don't get a lot better in the post, good teams are going to hurt us. We got out rebounded tonight by Alabama State. They got 22 offensive rebounds against us.

Jessica Carter didn't play, does anyone know when or if she will be back?

I have no idea who our interim head coach even is, but I'm happy that we have an interim head coach.

Our women's basketball team will be better due to that fact.

When you lose by 30, is a rebound advantage important??

I mean... he is... but UNO was 6-15 last year.

We beat them 106-51 and SFA beat them 88-29 and 105-36. I don’t think beating the **** out of UNO is some big accomplishment.

What gives ...

I certainly understand having some interest in the women’s program when they are contending for a national championship, but focusing on a mediocre women’s program while our men’s team is top quarter of the SEC is a waste and a distraction. Why can we not get back to our men’s team? I’m genuinely asking this out of curiosity.

Since you're curious, this is a single thread about a women's bball game on a night when the women's team played and the men didn't. You stupid 17.

Thanks for the clarification of an opinion that doesn't mean **** any more.
Oh no! SMM, the Great Arbiter of Who's Opinions Mean **** Anymore has condemned me to the "doesn't mean **** anymore" pile. Woe is me! Don't think I'll ever recover from this one.*

Hey, if you are onboard with all the racist, woke, BLM, Antifa, etc. BS, you're perfectly entitled to that ignorant opinion. Me, after seeing what our team and coaches were posting, especially on twitter the last couple of years, I've had enough. I'm thoroughly convinced a big reason they fell so hard and fast was they decided being a "victim" was more important than being a winner.

In case you didn't know there were at least of couple of them telling some of our fans to GTH. While I never demand anyone share my political beliefs, I damn sure don't have to give a damn about anyone I consider openly & aggressively insulting any of our fans who politely tried to engage them in dialogue or debate. Like most libs on twitter, they didn't give a damn about actual facts, and made no bones about insulting anyone who disagreed.

NMP absolutely fostered that BS as well.

If you don't like it, tough ****. Your opinion counts for no more than any other here.

You're correct and no, Jessica isn't coming back. She's finished here. This team will be lucky to finish above .500 without a post player. Cohen gets to make another hire next year (YAY!!*).

Never realized it was so incredibly hard for someone to focus on more than one thing at a time. We get it, you don’t like women’s basketball.

WTF does this mean???

I believe it means that if you wade into emotional political activism in the past, the smell is going to linger for a while. A good life lesson for those who want student and alumni support at the games...

I am glad that the woman's basketball team did well. I wish them and their interim coach well. Win, be supportive of the University and our Country and people will return to their seats.

I am curious, did we play the National Anthem before the game? Were the players on the field (I believe in SEC football games, they keep the players in the locker room)? Did they kneel?

Just curious if "The Great Uniter", Joe Biden has fixed all of the social injustices imparted upon them by white supremacists.

Different people find different things interesting. If you haven't discovered this fact yet in life, then eventually you will realize that it's true.

Thus, while you appear to have no interest in our women's basketball team, other people do.

This same thing happens to me sometimes . . . I read a thread on SixPack, and I think to myself . . . why would anyone even care about this?

Whenever this happens, I've discovered the best thing to do is just stop reading the thread and refrain from injecting my opinion of the topic into the thread.

People don't want to hear that you don't care for something they find interesting . . . nor do they care that you don't like it.

Its unfortunate some people cant get on board with players pushing for equality where appropriate and equity where appropriate.
It looks like players and staff doing these things last year triggered the 17 out of some, and those people then cite unrelated incidents as evidence of hypocrisy as a way to justify their intolerance.

The above is just reality and its clear some on here struggle to be confronted with basic reality, so DV away.
I hope the women's team turns it around from last year and gets back to winning at the top level of the game.

To hell with our women's basketball program after last year. TikTok dancing after losing games.

We're a volleyball school now.

Right, why are we even discussing Dale's when mole crickets are right there?

It's a waste and a distraction.

Coach Doug might be the most boring human alive.

Now, I'm not saying that's bad. Sometimes a boring coach is a great thing.

But holy crap, watching his interviews, he has the personality of a contracted engineer. No real charisma, and a few too many "I didn't sign up for this" comments. Sounds like he knows his **** mechanically, but I can't imagine him holding on to any recruits.

Perfectly summarized. There are dozens of threads every month here on subjects I care nothing about. I feel no need to inject the fact that I don't care about some obscure South Carolina jug band into a discussion of said jug band. It's common 17ing courtesy.
