The conference champ was officially crowned. Congrats Moline! One more playoff ticket was punched, while several teams are just ready for basketball season.
Geneseo 1 – Alleman 0: The Varsity contest was a forfeit but the jv game was a decent 34-21 Geneseo win.
Moline 35 – UT 0: It was a slow starting game as neither team could get on the score board in the first quarter. Moline would start to wake up in the 2nd with a Offensive TD and then a scoop and score on the following UT drive. UT would also lose their starting QB in the first half as well and would struggle to move the ball. Moline would hammer in 3 more TD’s in the 2nd half to the game out. Moline would outgain UT 370-92 and is now the outright WB6 champions.
Sterling 38 – Quincy 17: I love being wrong, but I also hate picking Sterling games as they have been very up and down. Quincy would jump out at a 17-7 lead and looks very solid until Sterling managed to punch in a score right before the half to cut the lead to 17-14. In the second half, Sterling would take over the game. The Golden Warrior D held Quincy to 52 second half yards and got 1 INT while blitzing the Blue Devils with 24 second half points to punch their ticket to week 10.
Rock Island 41 - Galesburg 6: Rocky let all the fireworks fly as Rocky QB Myles Duster would toss 209 yards and 4 TDs. Rocky would also pick off several Galesburg passes. Galesburg would play this game without it’s starting QB and Number 1 receiver and it showed as the offense was unable to accomplish very much, gaining just 111 yards compared to Rocky’s 272.
