Sterling 63 – Galesburg 56: Wait? What?? Offense was on full display in this one. 17 TD's, 55 first downs, 119 points, 1,075 of combined offense. The stuff D coordinators have nightmares about. With game tied at 56 late in the 4th, Sterling's Brady Berlin would scamper into the endzone from 19 yards out with 32 seconds left to give the Golden Warriors a wild win. Huge tip of the cap to Galesburg for taking one of the best defenses in the conference and making a mockery of it.

United Township 38 – Geneseo 28: UT came out firing from the opening kick, jumping out to a 17-7 lead at the half and limiting Geneseo's rushing offense. The second half would be more back and forth as Geneseo would take their first possession and drive right down the field to make it 17-14. UT would strike back to push the lead to 31-14, but Geneseo would not go away and got two quick strikes to make the game 31-28. UT Running back Leo Sim (175 yards on 19 carries) would ice the game for the Panthers with a 45 yard run.

Moline 35 – Quincy 28: Quincy got out to a quick start, getting up 14-0 in the first 10 minutes. After that, Moline got things rolling. The run game chewed up yards and at the half it was 21-21. Having Kasen Ponder back at QB for Moline helped as well. In the second half, Ponder would toss a TD pass and then Moline would rush for another to make it 35-21. Quincy would get one TD back, but Moline would kill off the rest of the game to knock off another unbeaten team. Moline would finish with 387 yards on the ground.

Chatham 49 –Rock Island 21: Special teams mistakes and an inability to finish drives doomed Rocky as they would have several good drives end on downs and two back-to-back turnovers on special teams lead to Chatham getting some short fields to work with. Chatham would roll to a 42-7 halftime lead and then would punch one more in 3 minutes into the third quarter to get the running clock.

Sterling v Galesburg was an all-timer. Overshadowed by the loss was Galesburg QB/DB Grady Hickey throwing for 415 yards and 5 TDs and rushing for 70 yards and another score. And filling in at DB, he picked off 2 passes. Remarkable performance.
