Man. He should have read this board while the Frostzi’s continued to lower the bar year after year after year to explain away their hero’s failures.
I’m not sure Rhule even wants them as fans knowing the cancer they are to this program.

And then you have our current athletic director who set expectations for year number 5 at a solid 6 wins.

This program needs have the equivalent of it’s Nuremberg trials to smoke out the enemies of the program so they can be purged and the program can move forward unfettered by their malignancy.

These enemies are already active spreading their disease as they caution against winning expectations going into the Minnesota game

I hope this true and not Coach Rhule trying to speak it into existence. We’ll see I guess…

Could very well be that Raiola has always been that kind of coach, but when you're in an environment where that mentality isn't valued or embodied by the HC and other assistants what are the chances that a line coach has any real chance of holding his group to that standard?

Carter is now telling Alberts how to run the show. Trev is just the former husker to appease that group. Rhule and Carter are in charge

Look at the landscaping in this picture. Trev obviously cares about his own lawn more than the field conditions the players are suffering through.

Yes, every college kid should rise to the level of getting an 80 million dollar contact after going 58-70 at 3 head coaching stops in 10 years and not winning a damn thing. I hate it when these scam artists become motivational speakers in our society, speaking for an entire generation that actually feels(according to science) crushing pressure from a whole bevy of ****** situations left for it to remedy. BTW, I like the guy because he is a snake oil salesmen and he says stuff that makes me feel warm and fuzzy but he hasn't done anything to warrant his compensation except exploit a vulnerable program and an insecure AD. Which makes me feel mad and sad and I can't fathom how you build a long successful run on such a foundation.

Glad he didn’t watch film from last year. Was that Frosts fault, Whipple?
We shall see. He gets a pass for that but there isn’t an excuse for this upcoming season.
That patchwork line got better as the season went. Given the hot mess we had between Frost and Whipple that’s worth noting. The played their best game the last game of the year

Look folks he is talking to himself.
I would put he and Redmichigan on ignore but their stupid charade is too comical. I’m beginning to think it’s a ploy to try to get us to pay for the premium board to escape those morons.

ran for 1.5 yards/carry on 35 attempts in that one

2 sacks allowed

one 1st and goal from the 4 yard line that resulted in a FG

line played like **** but we far outclassed our friends from iowa thanks to speed, defense and special teams

2 sacks had to be their best performance of the year. Iowa’s D was legit last year. Who was it that said you have to commit to the run no matter what the ypc was? Old NFL coach.

These dudes are making more than a surgeon. We know with great coaching that the culture of a group and its performance changes overnight. This idea that coaches that make a 1/4 to 1/2 million a year can grow into their jobs and are just waiting for the right kids or right culture, or right head coach is ridiculous. That group was the most embarrassing on the team for most of the season, like we couldn't run screen passes, anything that required pulling, just straight ahead running with two TES, the most vanilla offense available. It is perfectly acceptable to be flummoxed by an 80 million dollar coach not hiring an experienced and proven coach at the most important position on the field, and the one position group that could easily be pinpointed as a clear failure in the previous regime. The Raiola hire and now doubling down will go down as the first danger sign in the Rhule regime. His other position coach hires are all mostly friends or unknowns, or Satterfield, who the Gamecocks are not unhappy to lose, but Raiola is the WTF, who is Rhule think he is fooling? The only saving grace is if Raiola pulls in a number of highly rated, pro-ready offensive lineman...

I’ll wait and see for myself. Thanks.
I like the positive comments and I like that we have two other coaches who have coached o lines. Proof is in the pudding though. I’m optimistic about our O line if they can stay healthy. I don’t expect The Pipeline. We would need Boyd’s vitamins to be that dominant again.

I think a lot of the issues was Strength and Conditioning. They put too much weight on guys whose bodies were not designed for it. They seem like they can actually move and bend now. NFL teams were telling our guys they needed to drop weight. That was concerning.
