What coach at any level football is throwing the football up over 10 touchdowns. Run the ball and end the damn game.

hell, fbs schools are willing to shorten the fourth quarter for results less lopsided than that.
What makes it worse is they were playing an NAIA team. Not sure if that really counts as a win. I've always wondered how NAIA teams can match up with top division 3 teams, but never considered that they play fcs schools sometimes.

Morgan State made a big mistake by doing that. My understanding is that schools won’t schedule them for a big payday in the future. Take the loss & learn. Don’t quit.

There were a few on here who said they would NEVER win a game & drop their program in 5 years so I’m happy & hope they build on this. Kentucky Christian got to enjoy the Chicago Skyline,Chicago Food,Lots of train horns & smell of corn products :)

It was worse than you think too. Absolute Brutal job by the staff throwing up 71-7 late in the fourth. They blocked a punt and then threw a bomb on 1st down. 🤡 show.

They are going to take their licks this year. Don’t get upset when a team doesn’t this to you.

D1 team beating an NAIA team doesn’t count either.

There have been at least 4 instances this year alone. It is always announced as a “mutual decision of the two coaches.”

it is a good thing. Who benefits from playing out the last few minutes of a 60 point drubbing? Vegas and only Vegas.

i would prefer to see it kept at the full 15 minutes but allow the clock to just run in the fourth quarter of a 60 point deficit. I believe this will be codified into rule at some point in future years, but it will require someone telling the sports books to adapt and find a way to have a “maximum” spread.

quite literally nobody in the world wanted to see Miami play out the rest of the Florida a & m game last Thursday night.

I defended them when they lost to Roosevelt saying they are giving it a go and giving kids the chance to play D1 football who might not otherwise been given the chance but I didn't know they were going to be scheduling NAIA teams and unknown weaker ones at that then embarrassing them on top of it. Dirty pool.

I remember when the Hillmen blasted Westchester St. Joe’s 88-0 back in the 80’s. The Suntimes called them out & the head coach at JC said forfeit then & we will play somebody else or get better.

Were they passing up 70? Or running fullback dives with backups?

I remember 2004 JC blasting riverside brookfield 69-6 or something like it and that included taking a knee on the 2 yard line before halftime.

dont recall that specific 80s game with st joes so I can’t comment. I will say the running clock has changed things for the better, not sure what year that rule began though. Now if you’re up 40 and have the ball you can easily bleed 4 minutes running 3-4 plays. And the refs would happily let the losing team have a play clock over 60 seconds and just not announce anything about it.

which is why the ncaa would be better to allow a fourth quarter running clock rule as opposed to the coaches negotiating a 10 minute quarter.

Well their costs this year will be 1.7-2million assuming they are giving full scholarships and based off current attendance they will take in $200,000 profit from home games, unless they are getting paid a ton for road games (UT Martin and Southern Utah are barely paying) they are running a huge deficit and the program isn’t viable unless they have deep pocket donors to support it.

They will be gone in 5 years, do the math.
