Watson has that steady as she goes consistant swing.

Doesn't try to do too much with it.

Westwood is one back, but can go one up with an eagle putt. Watson with a good drive on 17. I'm smelling a playoff.

[Coach34]

the fact he is about to win his 9th major and able to just take down all these guys...this really speaks to his greatness as a player.

I think it just shows that anything in the world can happen at the British Open. The conditions and course are always such a different beast than all the championships in the USA

did you see the graphic at the beginning of other famous athletes that are 59? Archie Manning, Joe Theismann and Larry Holmes were three of them. They haven't even competed in 25 years, much less won a major competition.

[Coach34]

there is nobody on tour today that will never even sniff that...anybody looking objectively would see that...

One of Jack's major competitors at age 59 is about to win his 9th major after having hip replacement surgery...if Tiger's competition was all that good, this wouldnt have happened

You also have to say that Tiger is still at least in the discussion as the greatest ever. No matter who his competition is, you don't luck your way into 14 majors.

[Optimus Prime 4]

therefore it's harder to win that many

[Coach34]

great players find a way to get it done...hell, how about somebody getting 5 or 6? Phil is the only one you could possibly say could be in that group, but he has lost majors by doing stupid **** instead of people beating him.</p>

[goindhoo]

you wouldn't see eldrick doing that with a one shot lead.

[Coach34]

you will see him doing much of anything
