To win on the road against similar to better competition, you need to play well for most of the game, get a B level game from your opponent and get a fair whistle.

I just don't see such a disparity in calls more than this league does. I don't think it excuses a bad 1st half, but PSU is really going to have to hit shots to win games, I think they've been solved by most of the better teams defensively. They won't want to see RU in Indianapolis in a couple of weeks for sure.

Wouldn't expect an illegal screen to be called there. However, how was Yeboah not fouled on his final three? PSU player clearly got his arm on the release. No effing respect from these refs.
We've had these officials before. THEY SUCK! Especially the African American referee, who REALLY was awful tonight.

Rewatched it now hard to tell if Yeboah gets hit.

The last play went south bc of Harper. Geo passes Ron the ball and for some reason he immediately throws it to Myles 30 ft from the basket. This causes Ron to immediately realize Myles cant have the ball there so he runs right to him to get the ball back. Young and Geo both sense it too and come to the ball so now you have 4 players within a few feet of each other. Harper has Young clear out to the other side of the court and is taken out of the rest of the play. Harper tries to beat his man with a weak crossover and gets nowhere and is late kicking it out to Yeboah who has no time to get the shot off

Guys ...

It was a blatant offensive foul on the screen

But You just aren’t getting that call ...ever. Not there, not in the big ten tournament, not in the ncaa tourney

Got to learn in the moment that up two. You over play like hell and refuse to let them shoot a three. Period. Refuse to let them shoot it...and make them put on the deck...where they were out of gas and our defense was flanked down...Even if they hit a two...you run 1-4 for geo and win game there or go to overtime where they were out of gas ...

A lesson learned the hard way...know the situation

We need to stop blaming officials for our losses. It’s just weak. Players miss shots, officials miss calls, it’s a long game.

exactly what Scarlet says. No ref on this planet calls a illegal screen in that situation, and more relevant, you can't let them take a three there, let alone from straight on. Defensive breakdown and bad strategy. Is on the coach.

Baker doubled teamed on final play- offensive spread and movement not there - which led to bad shot selection.

Again, my point was that I wouldn't expect the illegal screen to ever be called at that point in the game. However Yeboah looked to be fouled on his final shot. Once again, it's doubtful any visiting team gets that call at the end. But that doesn't necessarily make the officiating any less infuriating.

We’re going to get the whistle vs Maryland next week and none of you are going to care about this game.
