Maybe Bo, maybe 03.Which kids are starting in other power 5 programs?
That's it.

Does Purdue have better interior lines than MSU?In both interior lines, without question.
Far more competitive for sureDoes Purdue have better interior lines than MSU?
In both interior lines, without question.
We couldn’t block NW or get near their QB
Far more competitive for sure
yes I agree. It starts up front.Yes. And if he doesnt, you simplify the playbook for him cause obviously this playbook ain’t working.
Football isn’t rocket science, guys
Do you know what else is silly? We beat ,Cuse, who went head to head with Clemson.
this “talent” argument is silly
yes I agree. It starts up front.
If your line can't block long enough for receivers to get separation or for the RB to get to the second level then it doesn't really matter who the QB is. THATS ON COACHING
On defense if the opposing RB consistently gets to the second level, it doesn't matter who the QB is (unless your QB, OL and receiver core are of the caliber where you have a quick strike ability where you can win in a B12 style shootout). THATS ON COACHING
Our best receiver is Bo Melton and he's nowhere near consistent enough. Just compare our receivers to what we had before with Coleman, Harrison, Carroo, Wright, Sanu, Underwood, Britt etc. THATS ON COACHING
We don't really have the QB, receiving core or OL to do well in the big ten. But out of all those, the most important is OL. Teams like Wisconsin are a perfect example of that. THATS ON COACHING
Do you know what else is silly?
The transitive property in college football.
I think 4 or 5 guys on defense . Just Melton on offenseWhich kids are starting in other power 5 programs?
Then he’s not the answer.
A 5-star (if that’s truly what he is) plays good regardless of the o-line.
Just the truth
Surely you jest.
no I don't.so you think we have more talent than Syracuse?
defiantly not jesting. Kid is a 5-star. Has to be better than this eye sore we’ve been watching the last 8 weeks.
Rant on. I'm not sure if you're trolling or over reacting to a bad loss. Hopefully a good night's sleep will leave you with a better perspective.
certainly not ranting. Noah ain’t the answer.s let’s put in Wimsatt and get a bowl bid!
Surely you jest.
I had a similar conversation in 2012-13 with someone way up there at RU after a meeting with B1G folks. On every level Zap. Everything from the equipment guys on up.
I was told from someone who would know that we had no idea what we were in for in this league.
You can’t really point to one area and say we are close to our now peers.
I totally agree with you that you cannot use the transitive property in college football. However, teams like Nebrasksa can give Ohio State a game, Purdue can beat Michigan State, etc. Yet we have games against Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin where we get absolutely obliterated…not an ounce of competitiveness. Yes, we played Michigan tough, but too often it looks like Varsity vs. JV. That can’t happen. Wisconsin should not be 50 points better than us on our home field. Aside from the Illinois game, we have looked incredibly unprepared most of the season.Do you know what else is silly?

are any of those 5 suspended.I think 4 or 5 guys on defense . Just Melton on offense
that might be more good coaching than talent. Can’t answer hypotheticals. But our starters beat Syracuse’s and Illinois, so I’d think they’d want then in
that might be more good coaching than talent.![]()

We will seeI think he is trying not to get Gavin killed.
NO.Then he’s not the answer.

NO.
Without an O Line there is NO O.
Maybe confused with another poster, but didn't you say above Wisconsin is a middle of the pack B1G West team? Did you notice they are ranked #21, and will now likely win the B1G West. Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota were ranked 20, 21 and 22. That is TOP of the B1G West.disagree. Certainly harder but good coaches/QBs find a way

Second, there were at least 3 catchable passes thrown to Melton that were not caught. They were all deep passes. He catches one or two of those, and it is not such a blowout. Melton is a senior and our best WR. Our other two best WRs this season, Sanders and Cruickshank did not play. How do you put that on our QB or our coach? Seems to me that you and a few others have some sort of anti-Greg narrative you are trying to spin.
Very anti Greg. Agree. Hated the hire. Still do. Wanted a young offensive mind.!
disagree. Certainly harder but good coaches/QBs find a way
Can I ask how that’s a dumb philosophy?Congrats
You win dumbest poster on this thread
Fair enough, and I respect reasoned debate and disagreement. Who were your #1, #2 choices?Very anti Greg. Agree. Hated the hire. Still do. Wanted a young offensive mind.
OK. Let's assume the coach (Sean Gleeson/Greg) is/are OK. We all know Vedral is not what would be called a "good" QB. He is a game manager. You still put the loss today on Greg/Sean?Can I ask how that’s a dumb philosophy?
good QBs and coaches can be successful with bad linemen. How is this stupid?
Yes. Greg is our head coach. Every loss is on him. Just as i credit him for every win.OK. Let's assume the coach (Sean Gleeson/Greg) is/are OK. We all know Vedral is not what would be called a "good" QB. He is a game manager. You still put the loss today on Greg/Sean?
What about the two crappy INTs and the at least 3 drops. Those are on Greg/Sean?Yes. Greg is our head coach. Every loss is on him. Just as i credit him for every win.
the 3 points is certainly on Sean as our OC.

You mean like what Ash did with Sitkowski? You saw how well that worked.Best way to let him grow Gavin grow is against big ten competition.
If a coach is worried his QB is gonna get injured..then yikes!! Lol
