I would play up on their guards and make them drive. They are really good when you allow them to spot up. Also Have to stop Allen. He is their lifeblood. They are pretty good and while not as talented as a Donavan team they are better coached.

The Florida team plays very unselfish. Excellent ball movement. They pass out to the guard, and he passes to the open man in the corner, for a wide-open three. They do not force up a bad shot in the lane.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Agree.

Remember when we laughed at Florida hiring a guy from la tech.
Looks like a good move.

Coach White had really good teams at LA Tech that probably could have been tournament teams but lost in their conference tournament. I loved the hire from the beginning, he had a lot of the same traits as a young Billy Donovan when I looked up more about him.

What did your fan base think at the time? Did people on message board know who he was? Were they happy, or all now happily eating crow?

I think most liked it but some got really nasty last year when we struggled. He was taking over a depleted roster for a legend.

Not sure if I would call him a better coach, but the guy has been amazing. He'll get paid this offseason.

Excited for Saturday.

He is not a better coach -- a comparative lack of experience makes that so. Not to mention, I think Donovan is one of the best in college history.
I admit to raising an eyebrow when he was picked. I don't think his name was one of the annual hot prospects. I do think there was one blogger or something on your board who called it early and I was thinking, "huh"?
Saturday will be a good game. I do think the cats prevail bc of the crowd and magnitude. This team has shown an ability to play to its competition. That has been good and bad. It would be good on Saturday.
